Ya oretty solid. The entire bench is Canadian aged 18-23. How do we make that mandatory?

Everyone missing the real story here.  MDS didn't use his 5 subs, post game bemoaned his lack of depth, and announcer Peter Schaad the next morning complaining about armchair fans who don't understand how it works and you can't just put kids on with no experience.

In other words, Whitecaps hate Canada.

Ranjitsingh came on as a sub for Minny in Minny's last game. Though I thought he committed to T&T

He has played for T&T in a friendly so I believe his intentions are to represent them but I will continue to include him since he is still eligible for Canada.  I can't see that he played at all though?

"We've got nothing to lose."

That quote is attributed to Dos Santos when asked about the team's chances coming into this tourney considering the absences to key playing staff (with only one of whom, Rose, being a midfielder but probably now more of a CB swingman).  So if they lose to the Sounders, are we going to see some of these BC raised Academy grads get a run-about vs the Fire if, indeed, the team will have "nothing to lose" by this point?

Depending upon how serious Bikel's injury is going , I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the team bring in another experienced midfielder, likely a Can-Am journeyman.

They already have a journeyman midfielder in Andy Rose but he stayed home because the birth of child. Bikel was supposed to solve the problem of an engine the midfield that they've had since MDS got here so yes it could be a big problem. In theory Tiebert and Rose would bring experience off the bench in such a situation. The Whitecaps were missing a lot of players on that opening game.. Canadian and other

The other guys missing were a CB and four forwards (I don't see Reyna and Montero as midfielders in this tactical set up, sorry), so the depth in midfield is pretty sketchy if you have a couple of key guys out.  Rose has looked better as a CB than as a midfielder in the three man set up, so if you end up up with a couple of absences in that area of the pitch, you're suddenly looking at really green back ups on the bench even in normal circumstances with almost all hands on deck.  I still feel we'll see Metcalfe or possibly Baldisimo get some time during the final group match, simply because you need to manage the midfield and avoid the possibility of a more serious injury for one of the others who have played significant minutes (especially  the now banged up Owusu).

Hard to argue many of the choices, perhaps Cornelius, Jakovic or Vitoria over James, dependong on form. Also tough to leave Kaye, Piette and Osorio out of the top 11, but also cool to see that starting MLS level players aren't good enough to be first choice starters anymore.

Also think thst this 2nd team could handle about 80% of CONCACAF fairly easily.

I’m in agreement with the majority of the lineups you’ve posted.

The CB position is fluid at this point, we have a lot of guys at similar levels.

Only other possible change I would suggest is Atiba, if he decides to play he might be a consideration at CB, but at the very least he’s in the mix for one of the “second team” midfield spots. He has played both DM and AM for Besiktas this season.

I would go further.  As of today, if Atiba says yes to a call, he is an automatic starter.

Canadians in USL Championship

I figured I would include this league.  Don't feel the need to do any lower levels but will put together one when the CPL starts up again.

If I missed any players or dual nationals, please feel free to let me know.
