You can sort this list by first and last cap, and get Atiba (2003-2023) --> Mark Watson (1991-2004) --> Gerry Gray (1980-1991) --> Sam Lenarduzzi (1968-80) but then the list seems to be incomplete. Either that or we assembled rosters of one-offs for each tournament, which seems unlikely.

(This is admittedly without confirming that each played with other, but it seems likely they did.  Plus some of the final/first matches line up)

Congrats on a great career to Hutch, and may he enjoy his retirement years always being onside.

If he goes to the Gold Cup, his wife may rule him offside. 🤣

Well done. I prefer the Atiba-Onstad chain simply because of how ridiculous it is that they overlapped for as long as they did. Both pathways seem to lead to Gerry Gray though.

Random musings from that list.

  • I can't believe DeVos, Brennan, and Jackson all finished at exactly 49 caps. I doubt any of them care, but I love a nice round number.
  • If Atiba plays in NL, he will forfeit his title of the highest prime number of caps to Julian de Guzman.
