shamrock
Anyone else impressed by this kid? I like him, he's young and has good dribbling skills and a great cross with the left foot. I have the idea that York9 won't be his club for too long. Pottsy3, Grandbloke, Blackjack15 and 1 other

Obinna
This is the left back right? I saw him last week or perhaps it was the week before. They compared him to Ali Adnan. If that's the same player, then I agree. Lots of upside.

shamrock
Looks like one of those types who fell through the cracks and wasn't picked up by an Academy (Impact). But this kid has the age where it's not too late.
Blackdude
IIRC, Abzi didn't play organized soccer until late, so it might be why he never popped up in the Impact's eyes. I heard his name for the first ime as a futsal player here.
Yoginess
I went to a York9 match and can't say I remember him standing out. Great to see he's making an impression, will definitely be on the look out for him now!
PiedPilko
Only saw the first half, but he's probably been the most impressive u23 guy so far. He scored on a free kick later on. Obinna, Ivan and Dominic94

red card
Brennan has Abzi playing upfront this year. And he has looked quite good. Playing with a younger group has brought out his leadership abilities. Potential for breakout year. Wonder if playing for Olympic team lit a fire. Someone did an evaluation chart based on last year's data.
VinceA
He's slowly becoming a very interesting option as a Davies understudy at LWB.

BradMack
York have some really interesting players this season, the Abzi to Wright goal got me excited as a national team fan. Perfect cross, and Wright is a physical speciman at 17, looks like a monster next to Petrasso. johnyb, Kent, Grandbloke and 3 others

Pottsy3
I know he’s played with our U23’s, but I wonder how far he is from getting on Morocco’s radar. Just last window they called a right-back who has played most of his career (and this upcoming season) in Ligue 2 + numerous defenders from their domestic league. The wing is obviously a strong suit for Morocco, but I’d imagine a strong start in France could thrust him onto the depth chart (if he’s interested). I like this move a lot for Abzi and York. Rate him highly, but simply a position of strength for us. Dominic94

I don't think they'd sign a 24 year old to be a second teamer unless he fails spectacularly in pre-season. johnyb and HochelagaFC

Arguably McNaughton and Chung, though it's early days. Borges and Estevez come to mind as transfer flops, though Borges could return to OH Leuven at some point and change that story. johnyb and Dominic94
