toontownman
Not heading to Vancouver after all then? Maybe some sneaky trading so Vancouver don't get him for nothing.
A_Gagne
Would be tough to trade him for anything if they don't pick up that option. I think they still plan on shopping him around.
shamrock
They could pick up a huge late third round draft pick in a trade. Sigh. A_Gagne and BradMack
Stryker911
Bush just got resigned for 3 more years. Time for Crepeau to move on. Blackjack15, dyslexic nam and MtlMario
lazlo_80
Rumor is Crepeau and Petrasso are already believed to be going to an unnamed MLS team. PhillyJawn-guy
TAM, DP, GA, and all that nonsensical alphabet soup of silly rules. Why do Canadians still support MLS? Crepeau should be signed like any other player in the world w/o some funky letters attached. Jesus Goddamn Fucking Christ, or I guess Canadians say Tabernak! Smits like John Smits? (And that must have been 4 years ago) If you want to say Simon Thomas? This is the guy who shut down Thomas to the Impact. And, I think he only went with it publicly because Harjournalist tweeted the information before and it was the same info he had. You have 2 journalists covering both teams involved confirming the trade, I think that it's safe to say that the deal will happen. Martineau is a solid journalist. Any journalist will get some information wrong sometimes because of the nature of working with sources but Martineau is probably the most reliable journalist in Montreal for being the first guy to report things that will subsequently happen. soccer.shocker
Fury just announced in the last day or two that their goalkeeper coach is leaving for Whitecaps. Good continuity for Crepeau if the trade to Vancouver is on. BearcatSA, johnyb, BenFisk'sBiggestFan and 1 other
BearcatSA
Going with what MDS suggested earlier, I'm guessing that one more domestic keeper will join this group, so the club gets to free up an international spot for an outfield position (I don't believe Marinovic was on a green card while in Vancouver). farrelld
Confirmed. But it looks like he will be battling MacMath for the starting spot. MacMath was one of the better young goalies in the league a couple years back before he got stuck behind Tim Howard in Colorado. On paper now it looks like Crepeau will be #2 in Vancouver. Hope he tries to battle for the #1 spot in Vancouver more than he did in Montreal.
BenFisk'sBiggestFan
I think it will be a good fight for the starting spot. Two keepers who arguably could have been starters on their last teams. Everywhere Max goes he is going to have to fight for his spot. I think this is a great opportunity for him.
