lazlo_80 171 Posted March 6, 2017 If Kaka is actually hurt for a while he could get a shot. The Orlando midfield didn't exactly wrap themselves in glory today. 1 canta15 reacted to this

Ngravs 462 Posted April 24, 2017 Scores the only two goals in a 2-0 win for Orlando B! Hopefully he will get a shot soon in MLS 3 Ruffian, toontownman and matty reacted to this

He plays consistently for Orlando B and as the 7th overall pick last year it's just a matter of time until he gets a chance with Orlando. He's a former Sigma player (teammate of Larin's) and played 2 seasons at Akron, which is a top US College program so he has pedigree. 1 johnyb reacted to this

PopePouri 240 Posted April 24, 2017 Giles Barnes is playing at the top of the diamond since Kaka is out and he's more of a forward. He certainly has a shot at the number 10 role or ahead of Higuita on the left side of the diamond.

harrycoyster 1,253 Posted March 4, 2018 Disappointing that Laryea has seemingly been surpassed by Cam Lindley after getting more playing time than him in preseason. On the bench for Orlando. 1 CNMNTPERUELIGIBLE reacted to this
miel de maple 23 Posted March 4, 2018 https://www.mlssoccer.com/injuries He’s listed as day to day on injury list so maybe that’s keeping him out of starting

Shortdutchcanuck 1,223 Posted March 11, 2018 Pleased to see Laryea in the starting lineup for Orlando yesterday. The team has some injuries, so who knows what his role is when guys like Kljestan come back. But he's only 23 and seems to have some attacking flair. Would be great to see him develop along the lines of Osorio, maybe with a little better one-on-one skills and finishing ability (though Oso has been potting some beauties lately). 6 1 Grandbloke, dyslexic nam, johnyb and 4 others reacted to this
BrennanFan 2,119 Posted March 12, 2018 In the last game vs. Minnesota, Laryea won a penalty and also set up what should have been the go ahead goal for Orlando. He's doing well. 9 1 CNMNTPERUELIGIBLE, HugoDirtySanchez, Shortdutchcanuck and 7 others reacted to this
Bison44 3,989 Posted March 12, 2018 He's got into 2 straight games and gotten maybe 100min? Didnt he only get 250min all last year?? Good for him, I hope he tries to keep Johnson on the straight and narrow this year. 1 hamiltonfan reacted to this
harrycoyster 1,253 Posted April 22, 2018 Was named along with Pierre da Silva by Kreis as players for whom Orlando is "looking for a good situation" at the post-game press conference today. A loan may be coming.

In seriousness I do hope he can find a place he can play many games either starter or off bench... 1 CNMNTPERUELIGIBLE reacted to this
Keegan 3,713 Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) The CPL will be great for this exact type of situation. A loan in MLS will never be a good solution because I feel like it places you in a tough situation no matter what.. for instance you get loaned to a team like DCU or RSL, I'm sure they have a bunch of players around your level and they don't own you so what's the point of them playing you unless they're desperate (which is really the only time we see these loans). And if you can't break into Orlando, what are your chances elsewhere in MLS? He can go to USL but he's been there the past couple seasons already and it has a minor league feel to it.. I'm sure he'd learn just as much training with Orlando at this point. Edited April 22, 2018 by Keegan

Not enough for a young player. Seemed to be stuck in neutral. Without a USL affiliation this past season, it looked like he was more or less just stuck on the bench with the senior club. It didn't look like he had a loan opportunity elsewhere for 2018. Judging by this thread, there were high hopes for him with his GA deal and such but, as toontownman notes, you wonder if he gets another shot in MLS Edited November 28, 2018 by BearcatSA
