JAVIERF
The 3-4 is Camacho donkey mistake, Piette covers the italian for number 4 to put it ir row z , the moron miscued the clearance hit on Piettes waist or something and on a silver plate for the Italian. That Waterman was closing and got very very angered jonovision

Agreed, and to be fair, a little unlucky on the penalty and particularly the glanced header. gator
DeRo_Is_King
I'm rooting for Piette, because he has been solid for Canada in the past. However, the penalty was inexcusable. You give that up against world-class opposition, and you very likely lose the game. Now, I think Camacho was mainly responsible for Insigne's second, but Piette should have done better imo. I know it's a lot to ask, but we are talking about WC vs Belgium and not first-round WCQ vs Belize. He needs to be better. Sorry. You're probably right, but I trust Piette to do a job defensively more than any other midfielder Canada has. He won't play much at Qatar, though, because the other players are better in the other aspects of the game. Ivan and gator
P-O
Love the person and I hope we keep him in MTL. But he's now backup, bad first touch and sometimes clumsy decision. He is better in a 3 man midfield than a 2 when he plays as a #6.
Dominic94
The penalty wasn’t great but no way can he be expected to defend Bernadeschi who was literally able to run circles past players on the pitch with the ball. He had recovered and then Camacho just fucked up so bad.

TOcanadafan
A little bit of a shaky start, but he was immense most of the game, key to stifling TFC attack and part of an impressive 2nd half team performance that completely controlled and rag-dolled TFC. If everyone is fit, he’s more of a come-off-the-bench guy… the only concern is he always seems to take time to get into the game. No chance he's asked to do that for 90 minutes. If he plays at all in Qatar (unlikely) it will be in the last 5-10 minutes of a game we're winning where he's asked to clog up midfield, break up plays, and commit fouls. Chad_Impact
Yeah outside the shaky start I think he had a good game. He does what he does, can't expect more or less. JamboAl
Bison44
He has added to his game though. He does seem more capable of making a decent pass forward or jumping up in the play on offense. Joe1973
My man Sam should get a bit more love so here i am. I've mentioned on another thread, but since having fully recover from that injury in Honduras, he's been consistent, confident, making terrific passes, etc.. MOTM yesterday after another victory on road! JamboAl, king1010, Craig11rm and 6 others 8
PegCityCam
Don't often get to hear too much from Sam so this is definitely a treat. He no doubt deserves some shine after yesterday's performance. sebdeserio, WestHamCanadianinOxford, Approve My Account Pls and 14 others 16
dyslexic nam
Anyone worried about the idea of Sammy seeing the pitch in Qatar should be watching tonight’s CFM game. He has been a beast. MauditYvon, johnyb, MCa and 14 others 13 3

Anyway, I have faith that Piette will show well enough in the next 5 weeks, the biggest of his whole career. costarg, johnyb, Sal333 and 1 other

The problem is the #CanMNT is all wingers and strikers at the moment. We had no Hutchinson, no Osorio ( and no Arfield 😛) vs Uruguay and it showed.
