I wonder if Wheeler is embellishing the “Canada wins out vs another very good country who wanted him for WCQ” part. If the quote is true this makes me lean Ferdi. Plays on a good team in a good league and Turkey have been circling. 
 

Al Ghamdi other then being a surprise doesn’t fit. That would be a disappointment at this stage.

Chituru Odunze was called up to USMNT camps this year but has never featured in a match, fits the good country wanting him for WCQ line. Also, would be a bit of a surprise as I feel we rarely talk rumours about the GK.
