You can see his teammates get frustrated with Theo. He's slow to find the right pass (if he ever does) and is really wasteful with hopeful shot attempts. He definitely has a lot of talent but looks the same player in many ways as he was last year in league 1

The good news is that both of those things are very trainable.  Not that they are too similar but the exact same things were said about Nelson last year and he was much better at link up play this season (even if the team’s overall performance was pretty abysmal).  Looking for the pass and not blasting it wastefully at the net from distance can both be coached out if you.  Unless you are Bamba…

Next time bro.

Gutted for him. I know his form very recently hasn't been great, but he is young and has had a decent season overall. I still think he has that rare combination of speed, strength, size and superior dribbling that will make him a highly sought-after player in the future. The fact he congratulated those who did make it shows his positive character as well. His time will come.

He’ll only be 24 for 2026 which is still very young, and to think of where he could be at that point of his career is pretty exciting.

Yeah, he could very well still play in 2 or even 3 WC’s with Canada.  Not making it as a teenager is nothing to be ashamed of and is just an indication of our growing depth.

Plus, the 2026 TSN expose on the player who turned his back on Romania to play for Canada, took his roster snub the right way, went back to his club, eventually made it to the premier league, and at 24, has tears in his eyes because he is finally going to represent his home and native land at the world cup, on home soil is going to be so lit.

FA Cup Third Round Draw

Blackpool Vs Nottingham Forest

(Wonder who I will support?)

Surely Richie Laryea’s World Cup performances have earned him a call back to NF? You gotta think he’s the right type of player who would do an excellent job warming up the bench at an FA cup match.

Not sure much is going to move while Cooper is there.  Losing an, in theory, winnable FA cup tie would help that - again, in theory.

More just a dumb joke about how with how good he's looked for Canada, and how terrible Forest has been this year, all this World Cup hype would earn Richie the honour of riding the bench for one of his club's least important games of the year. Being that NF has a no-sell clause in the loan, you'd think he's proven enough to at least get a look at NF- hell, maybe he shows up well, and they can sell him and start paying off the 154 million pound transfer bill they've accrued, but because this is forest, they'll probably call him back, give him bench appearances at cup games, and give him 25 consecutive DNPs in league play.

Have been wondering this myself. Richie has been terrific.

I don't trust Forest to re-call him, but they sure as hell should.

Yeah he's probably a shoe in for Nations League and Gold Cup 2023 and if he impresses then not out of the realm of possibility that he can make a case for himself for 2026
