The Road to Qatar.

If we can't guarantee a win against Suriname with this squad +/- a few players we don't deserve to even dream about the World Cup. We should be pumping every team in our group other than them 5+ but in the end it shouldn't matter because we shouldn't even think we're not gonna win against them.

Teams get upset.  There are no guarantees.  Remember when Mexico qualified for 2014 with only 2 wins in the hex???  $hit happens but the difference here is there is no margin for error for us.  It's not like the US in 2018 when they can f*ck up for a year and a half against teams with arguably weaker talent than Suriname and still control their own destiny going into the last day of the hex.  It took a million f*uck ups for them to get eliminated.  We don't have room for any.

Suriname should be up 6-0.

I know everyone keeps saying “we shouldn’t need to rely on GD in this group !!” and while that’s true, anything can happen in a one-off on a neutral field. Would a draw against this Suriname in a match in Florida be a shock? Not to me. Goal differential matters. We need to put it to CI tomorrow and win by 6+.

I hate rubbing other team's noses in it. But the Caribbean teams are the ones who wanted a format where they got to play more games against bigger teams. So give them what they asked for.

Wasn't the purpose of this format to allow Mexico and US to skip the earlier round and play more money friendlies?

Even though the US didn't deserve a bye because they weren't even at the last Word Cup

Just curious, Do Germen fans look around world wide to find a stream for Liechtenstein vs North Macedonia?

If they're in Germany's group, they would show the match. Or uefa.tv shows quite a bit of Uefa matches. But they are a tier 1 team, so most wouldn't bother as their supporters aren't neurotic as Canada's.

It's like Canada in World Juniors or World Championships for hockey. TSN shows everything but most Canadians just watch Canada.

What top guys?  Also have you not heard of something called Covid?

I get there’s Covid. Yes it’s serious and dangerous. But if we can get our players and other teams get theirs, why can’t these smaller nations ?
Aruba has guys that play in Europe and they won against Bermuda in nations league. Bermuda has Wells and like 3-4 young talented players who are playing in England for West Ham, burnley and a 16 year old kid playing for Bournemouth, he’s already been linked to Arsenal.

6-0 FT.

Tbh it could have been worse

so Suriname gets a +9 goal differential against the two worst teams in the group (Cayman and Aruba). That is actually not too bad for us and we should be able to match if not beat that. Also our +4 against Bermuda might be tough for them to match given Bermuda in June will hopefully have their actual squad.

but yah we need to go out there tomorrow and pummel Cayman to the tune of 5+.
