  1. SHIT edit: hit the cross bar from the 6 yard line so close
  2. I think you're giving him a bit too much credit here. It was a very well taken goal, but he's shown far too little to be in a group with players who have are already integrated with the national team (Corbeanu and Millar), and players doing much better in a similar team situation (Pasher). I'd say right now he's top of the list of the tier under the players on the bubble, and that's if Ennin isn't a winger.
  3. A lot of feelings got hurt when that guy that claimed the national team didn't exist before now (I'm paraphrasing) joined, and I haven't seen him around since. He may have been wrong and a bit disrespectful, but like it or not that's how the vast majority of casual football fans view it, and some people are going to have to decide if they want to continue gatekeeping or decide they want more people to support the team and be more patient with that type of crowd.
  4. Anyone watch the half? Was watching Davies but from the fotmob updates seems like David's been involved.
  5. Starting up top with Yilmaz in his first Champions League game.
  6. Besiktas fans are coming to our country's defence while simultaneously saying any Hutchinson will always be welcome in Turkey what a fanbase.
  7. I think Richie's only been around for this year's run with no fans and the shitshow in Panama, but you can definitely see it with Osorio. Richie is currently on ~200k, or less than Mullins, Bono, Gallardo, Deleon and Auro. He's still on his second contract so he will undoubtedly get a raise but that's pretty shameful and he can easily make more in a more competitive environment. I see him as being a player who rises to the level of competition and from that sense he's being held back and I think a new challenge will raise his ceiling. I don't see TFC being successful next year unless there's some huge changes, and with huge changes comes an adjustment period.
  8. Certainly can't blame immigrants from any developing/smaller country of any generation for supporting their homeland, especially since this is likely one of the only times they can gather together and celebrate their heritage. Now as others have mentioned hopefully we can now have them come out to support Canada as well, especially after that performance.
  9. 3-1 is good as a safe result. Pushes Honduras further on points and GD, and the US were (probably) gonna leapfrog us at one point or another.
  10. Such a good dribbler, which is obvious but combined with his football IQ and underrated 1v1 defending he really is wasted at TFC and MLS, and I say that as a TFC fan.
  11. It seemed really uncharacteristic of him so I'm happy it's just an inside joke (if that's truly the case) but weird it didn't register that the obvious speculation would be about Canada, especially for someone who's so media savvy. At least we know we're becoming a football nation when he has to tweet out an explanation 😁
  12. I got my 2012-2014 home one from value village for 5$
  13. Just wanna drop in and say that was a stonewall pen and I hate CONCACAF and the yanks. Never wanna see them bitch and complain about reffing being against them.
  14. Yeah it cost nothing to keep letting him know we're interested in him. I think maybe Dias instead of Tomori, who's saga will be end one way or another by Qatar.
  15. Still think he was too lenient with them but with the combination of the view from the southend and beers affecting me I'll concede that maybe he wasn't as bad as I thought he was during the game.
  16. Entertained their time wasting way too long, they should've had a couple more yellows and should've carded Quioto for his embarrassing (even for CONCACAF standards) theatrics on the edge of the box.
  17. 1. Not a horrible result considering this was everyone on the teams first game at this stage and we came back to get a point (also considering the other results today). 2. Switching to a 343 was a stupid idea and we had no midfield presence because of it. 3. Kennedy>>> Miller, I think Miller started as a reward for the Gold Cup but this should be his last start at Kennedy's expense. 4. Attack was toothless and had no ideas except for the first 15 minutes of each half and maybe a bit near the end of the second. David couldn't find a foothold in the game and Tajon and Larin were both unimpressive. 5. Ref was a fraud. 7. Corners were horrendous it's not that hard to get past the first man. 6. The southend was great to be in and happy to have been able to watch the boys live for the first time since the US game.
  18. Hopefully Wheeler doesn't get too much hate 😬
  19. The team that won the Euros this year is known for their passionate renditions of the anthem. Certainly gets the blood pumping as a fan so can only imagine what it does for a group planning on making history.
  20. He'd be in the mix with Arfield, Hoilett and Osorio as the best attacking mid/10. Arfield and Hoilett are in the twilight of their career and I think Ferdi is already better than Oso, or at least the same level. He'd be a huge piece for us and right now the the dual national with the highest floor after Tomori.
  21. Had one Wednesday and honestly might be worth showing up for the games just for the pies. So far out of the 2 games I've been to (Forge and HFX) it was the highlight lol.
  22. The senior figures can decide that Arfield needs a timeout because he wanted to pick and choose but they better back it up with their play. If we don't get 6 points minimum then questions should be asked if they let childish grudges get in the way of the team's success.
  23. Let's put it this way. David was the top scorer and best player in the Belgian league on a worse side than Brugge before Tajon scored his first MLS goal, and on top of that had almost as many assists as Tajon has in his whole career (8 vs. 10). They play different positions anyway so comparing them is weird to me. I think David's frustrating team situation is making people forget how good he can be.
  24. At this point we've just become a sleuthing forum (not that I mind)
