Biggest game of his club career today?

Be interesting to see who he gets to matched up against.  At the weekend they played pretty narrow, with Mount and Barkley slotting in behind Giroud and getting a little bit of width from wingbacks.

It gave them their first league win in 5, against Spurs.  So that might mean more naturally wide players like  Willian or Pedro (supposed to be back) will not start again.

Looks like Mount and James are on his side.

Be a good tough match up against Reece James Reece is a very very good defender Tough as nails and a no nonsense tactler... spent a year on loan at Wigan last year and was in the championship team of the year at 19...

great match up for sure.

The Davis thing drives me mad. Also the announcer prompts everyone for a big Alphonso Davies intro and then kinda mumbles his way thru a bunch of misleading vague stories that give you no idea who Alphonso Davies is.

Anyways, good half from Alphonso. Bayern the far better team

Sorry one more thing it drives me nuts that the bt sports guys call him DAVIS!!!

I always thought that was the Welsh/British pronounciation of that surname but regardless, the name should be pronounced the way the player pronounces it.

I'm always reminded of how Youri Djorkaeff's name was pronounced by ITV announcer Brian Moore as "jerk off."

Making this look so simple lol

"My dad has always been a big Chelsea fan, and I was a fan of Didier Drogba," the 19-year-old told Germany's leading sports specialist magazine, kicker. "But I'm pretty sure he loves me more than he does Chelsea (laughs)."

The assist and the other runs were amazing but when he caught and eased Mount off the ball for a goal kick early on - that is what you need your left back to do, first and foremost.  And Mount is not a slow player but he looked like he was standing still.
