Ruffian
Man! Oso gets no love. He is one of the players with the most consistent playing time and playing at a decent level in MLS, but still no love.

I wonder if this means that Zambrano is looking to experiment with a 3-5-2 If he wanted to do that i would assume he would bring more CBs... BenFisk'sBiggestFan
It is nice to see that our coach has the faith in our younger and maybe less known players. I like the fact that he has given them the chance. It can't harm the team. Bringing in all these younger players will push the older experienced ones to improve and it will give the younger ones hope to work hard. Of course come Gold Cup time, the best team needs to be there, but for now giving the younger players a chance to challenge is a good thing. It is nice to see young Canadians challenging the old guard. The team seems pretty solid at each position as well. For the first time in a while all our strikers are on form. I know people have been hating on the CBs but in Scotland James and Straith impressed me and seemed to have a bit of chemistry. I live in Edmonton and watch Straith all the time. He is reliable and smart, he just lacks a bit of Speed. I haven't watched James play that much, but it strikes me that he is the opposite of Straith: a strong guy but just a little unpredictable at times. Maybe James can learn something from Straith and grow to be a reliable CB for Canada. I have high hopes...
Chad_Impact
I just bought 4 tickets for the game in section 121, almost the whole section was available. I don't think attendance will be that great. Any reported numbers on ticket sales?

One American
You guys see a lot of new faces. I see a little too much been there, done that. Of course, for the USMNT, I want to put about 7 teenagers on the GC roster. Or just send the U20s entirely. So take that into account.

UptheReds
What's everyone's first choice XI to start in Montreal? I was thinking ... Larin Junior ------------- Edwards Osorio ---- Johnson Bernier (C) De Jong -- James -- Straith -- Aird Borjan SUBS: Rickets, Akindele, Tony JH
PopePouri
One thing that's interesting is all the fullbacks Zambrano selected are attacking.

On the way out of the stadium last night (Mtl/Van) they were giving out flyers for the June 13 game that you can get tickets 2 for 1. Soooooo I guess that tells it all. And yes of course I bought my tickets long ago.
RickC
I bought tickets a few days ago and checked every section of the stadium to see how many tickets were remaining (it tells you number of seats left). However, no tickets were listed for sale at the ends, so doing some rough calculations (i.e. guesswork) I'd say about 8,000 tickets had been sold. The last three Canada games I've been to were between 10 and 16k, with the latter the Gold Cup, so it's not far from falling into that range. Question for the Montrealers, do the Impact have relatively large walk up crowds?

BrennanFan
I would really be interested in watching the June 9 intra squad match, perhaps more so than the Curacao friendly. My 11: Hoilett Larin Aird Johnson Piette Bernier DeJong James Jakovic Cordova Borjan 7 Subs: Crepeau Akindele Ricketts Haber Jackson Straith Osorio

Generally yes, we are known to do this and make a last minute decision to attend via the ticket booth or if you're 5 mins late get a wicked deal off the scalper stuck w tickets.
