saladroit
https://canadiansoccerdaily.com/2024/03/06/exclusive-vancouver-whitecaps-full-back-sam-adekugbe-knee-injury-is-not-serious/ Quote He remains on track for a return this month. “We set a goal in December to be back by mid-March,” Franks revealed. “Full training and getting back into games. He is on schedule so far.” “The goal is to have him full training next week,” Franks said. “Hopefully available for Dallas [on March 16]. We’ll just see how his week goes. It’s an injury that takes a while and really doesn’t have a specific set endpoint. It’s really one of those that we manage over the course of the next month. He should be back hopefully by Dallas.” sebdeserio, WestHamCanadianinOxford, dyslexic nam and 1 other
toontownman
Don't think it's worth risking him in the squad tbh. We don't want to rush him and re-injure him. Kadenge

On the other hand we likely won’t have to pay for a flight as he’ll be in Dallas already… saladroit

WestHamCanadianinOxford
Good to see him on the field. And help make a goal. Edited March 31 by WestHamCanadianinOxford Shway, costarg, TOcanadafan and 5 others
Corazon
Looked good and lively and put a dangerous low cross in that led to the winning goal. Perhaps Crepeau could have done better on the cross. costarg, NVsoccer, johnyb and 6 others
blueseeka
Offensively he had great jump in the game yesterday but boy was he poor defensively. His effort getting back after attacking has been very subpar. LA was attacking on his side of the field. He was caught way up high on the 3rd goal and just showed no hustle trying to get back on defense. As soon as the pass from center went deep, he just starts walking towards the play. He just points his finger and stops running. They were desperate for a goal so him attacking is fine. Its just the effort to get back is so bad And even worse was his player tracking on the 2nd and game winning goal here. Loses his player and doesn't even try to get back in the play incase of a save Edited April 14 by blueseeka WestHamCanadianinOxford and Corazon 1
SoccMan
Let’s be honest here apart from his injuries, since he has been back at Vancouver the times he has played and I’ve watched him play he has so far not been very good and at times has not looked like someone who should even be starting . He looks nothing like the guy who played so well during Canada’s successful run to the 2022 World Cup. Hopefully he just needs a long run of consistent games before we see the player we all saw during that famous qualifying run. BearcatSA
On the second, the positioning of Blackmon needs to be questioned and the inability of the midfilders to close down Puig didn't help. But Adekugbe's role in covering and/or communicating the danger was poor. Even in the first half, LAG really keyed on Blackmon with both Pec and Paintsil on that side. Raposo was k-taped on his right knee so likely not at top speed, was given the hook after 45, but still started ahead of Adekugbe, so you wonder what the deal is there. Perhaps the defensive diligence isn't there in training. If so, then he really needs to step it up because he is getting too heavy a pay packet to be a back up. Which doesn't excuse all his play, but is a factor for some of it. I also don't think it's an ideal formation for him, but then Vanni loves to pick a formation that is fantastic in his dreams but not at all practical for the players he has. blueseeka
Vancouver has moved Adekugbe up for this game. Playing in a front three with Ryan Gauld, Brian White and Adekugbe. Weird lamptern

Corazon
Beautiful pull back cross to the penalty spot to an open Gauld, who scores to pit Vancouver up. WestHamCanadianinOxford and GasPed
