That's now 3 former Fury players brought back. I like the identity being built in Ottawa, that type of consistency is needed to build a new brand.

4, Haworth, Manella, Beckie and Tissot.

Two Internationals so far, we should see a bunch of Spanish signings coming.

Ottawa are going guns blazing this year, but they're going out against squads with a degree of stability like Hamilton and Halifax. Will they have the edge it with the revamp? Or will they fail to deliver?

P.S. Hart at Halifax really needs the scrutiny, if they fail to make the playoffs, his position really needs to be under threat...

stability in halifax? they have been terrible in the only two full seasons of the cpl. a 7 game bubble doesnt mean anything really otherwise valour would have been the champs last year.

The article errs saying Espejo was signed to Atletico B in 2018, as he was a sub 19 for a few years and was only moved into the B team last summer.

It's a good move for his development.

Makes me think of Aribim Pepple, since they likely played against each other last spring. Aribim has missed a whole season, stupidly, what's the point? Then a guy at his "level", comparable, has accepted a loan to CPL to keep developing.

Maybe our youth shouldn't look  down on the benefits of the league.

They renewed his contract to 2024, then convinced him to do the loan deal, which shows they are not just shipping him out, that he has a path back.

Article on the At Madrid website from yesterday eve

Trying to figure out who the coach might be. They say it is a person who is young, experienced, and with ties to the club. Someone who is a former player perhaps, coaching their youth or similar, and with a bit of English at least?

How on earth were they "terrible" last season? Just because they missed the playoffs? They were only 1 point behind York and were 1 win off an even record.

They had a very solid season last year, and definitely do have stability because 16 of their players from last season are returning.
