Anyone read the fine print yet.  Are these transferable if we don’t find lodging ?

Tickets?

You can re-sell on FIFA platform for 10% loss (ie FIFA fees).  Don't believe you can transfer name of the original ticket holder.  Guests names can be changed.  Obviously there's unofficial ways around this to get your money back.

For accomodations its 80% refundable if cancelled by April 30th.  After April 30th there's no refund but if they re-sell your room you get the 80% back.

FIFA says next phase opens up Tuesday April 5th at 11 CET. Though, it also says it will be a random draw.

In the lottery & first come/first served phase, 804,186 tickets were sold. With 64 matches, this means 12,565 average per match + what has been allocated to sponsors and et al. Better than Russia after phase 1 since it was 742,760.

Individual Match Tickets – and tickets for the opening and final matches in particular – were the most popular products on offer.

The top ten countries by country of residence are Qatar, USA, England, Mexico, UAE, Germany, India, Brazil, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia.

Thanks for the heads up.

Our group going has been looking at flights. Boy are the prices going up. I recommend using skyscanner to folks looking around. We want to go to Dublin for a few days before heading over to Qatar. Also for those who haven’t travelled much, going through London tends to provide the most options. The second the draw happens we’re booking our flights. Might even risk it and book before.

The thing is, we won't know the schedule til some time after the draw. They are going to do the schedule based on the participating teams in a match, and try to work the best start time. I am sure I read that somewhere. As opposed to the draw determining location, schedule and matchup.

So that affects people who need to book more precisely.

What? Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying, the second the draw is announced, you’ll know exactly when Canada plays their games.
I’ve been looking at prices very closely the last couple days. It’s nuts. I can guarantee the second the draw is announced Friday, people all over the world will be booking their flights instantly. I mean literally seconds after. Don’t kid yourself. We booked tonight. Tickets and hotels will stay the same in price. Airline tickets won’t. I appreciate people need to plan and budget.

Yes the game dates are set already based on group and pot.

Some dude may have plugged in dates for matches on that wiki, but the same page states:

Unlike previous tournaments where the match venues and kick-off times for each fixture are set prior to the draw, the assignment of group fixtures for each matchday to a specific venue and kick-off time will only be made after the group stage draw and the teams of each specific fixture are known. This is possibly due to the close proximity of the venues, which will allow the organisers to optimise stadium allocation for spectators and kick-off times for television audiences.

This article states the same:

https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/fifa-world-cup-draw-explained-how-to-watch-date-time-teams-going-to-qatar-stadium-venues/

Due to proximity of venues, group fixture locations and timings will be decided after the draw to ensure stadium and spectator allocations.

And the official FIFA schedule page has no matches associated with dates:

https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022

Well from what I’m reading in the link you provided, it seems to show what day the games are, just not times and locations, which is my original point. This is backed up by the dates and times of the knockout stage with groups A and B meeting first in the round of 16. The writing is small but if you zoom in it’s pretty clear. I suspect many here going aren’t trying to time their flight the day of a game. I can understand FIFA not releasing times/location immediately, but they aren’t going to play Group A, jump to F and then back through C. That would look ridiculous and would make a mockery of the schedule.

If Canada was in group C, which according to your link, would mean they play match day 2, they would play the Tuesday.

See the pdf from the references here.

It has the dates. Just the times have to be set.

But what sucks is going to be the time difference of games especially because you may have to wake up at like 5 or 6am here in Canada just to watch teams play or you would have to watch games late at night here in Canada too to watch teams play. However, for me it really makes no difference because it will all be worth it especially to watch Canada play. But for the ones going to Qatar personally to travel all the way there to watch Canada play, it will be perfect for you guys not only time wise while you're over there but accommodation wise too.

I mean it's the same timezone as the Western side of Russia (2018), only one hour different from South Africa (2010), etc etc... in my opinion the main sadness is we don't get the summer World Cup for those that aren't travelling to Qatar. There's always a special vibe in the air during world cup summers

Next phase for ticket purchases is this Wednesday.

Four types of tickets are available: Individual Match Tickets (IMTs), Supporter Tickets (STs), Conditional Supporter Tickets (CSTs), and Four-Stadium Ticket series (FSTs).

Does anyone know what "Supporter Tickets" and "Conditional Supporter Tickets" would be?

Stadiums and times have been set for Canada' s matches. All seat 40k which means there won't be any bad seats but it also means it may be harder to get tickets if you haven't done so already.

First match is going to be a late night with it starting at 2200 local time. It will be at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium which is 20km west of central Doha and is reachable by metro. I'm assuming they'll keep it open later than usual.

https://www.visitqatar.qa/intl-en/things-to-do/adventures/other-sports-and-activities/ahmad-bin-ali-stadium

Second match is at 1900 local time at Khalifa International Stadium. This is a preexisting stadium that has been renovated. It is near Sport City metro station and is 10km west of central Doha.

Third match is at 1800 local time at Al Thumama Stadium. Unfortunately, this is the only stadium not reachable by the metro. It's 12km from central Doha and near the airport. Stadiumguide says it is surrounded by a relatively bland residential neighbourhood of little interest.

anyone apply for the Hayya card? I keep getting declined for the name, because it says I can only have 1 space but my middle name is 2 words

I did mine. It went relatively well and now just pending I confirm them my accommodations. I originally had trouble cause the system didn't recognize my ticket application number; so I messaged them through the site and they fixed it for me in 24 hours. Just send them a message and they will sort it out, it seems very well organized.

Supporter tickets are for sitting in your team's section for group stage matches.

Conditional Supporter Tickets are for supporters who want to reserve a seat for one of their team’s potential encounters in the knockout rounds, including the final.
