Another big game another 0 in the goal column for David. Was really expecting more when I saw the scores ended 4-3.

What happened here folks? David didn't get the chances, or didn't convert them? Sounds like the former...

First half, they were in control and other people scored (he had an assist on the one from open play).  Lyon decided to play in the second half and Lille didn't match them at all.  Lille grabbed one from a set piece again but it was really against the run of play and most if not all chances were Lyon's in the second.  Just could not get out of the midfield.

Goes a ways to getting them some kind of Champions League football.

Equal with Brest on points but are 3rd (ladder stage) because of goal difference. Played equal games.

Nice can still catch them for 4th (qualifiers), they are 4 points back and play PSG on Wednesday and at Lille on the final day next weekend.

A draw with Nice gets them 4th at the very least.

Interesting fact: Brest’s stadium does not meet UEFA grading standards and they have said that any European matches held there can only have a maximum capacity of 5,000 because 3 of the 4 stands are modular.  It normally can hold 16,000.
It would be a nightmare for Brest to play Champions League games at home.

Exact same situation with Girona, with the modular stands out they go from 14 to 9 thousand.

Seems radically unfair that a legally authorized structure meeting all safety standards can be rejected by UEFA.

Diakité, Yoro are definitely gone, I would be shocked if there aren’t big offers for Zhegrova, Chevalier is also destined to join a big club soon. Haraldsson probably has one, two tops, seasons left before he moves on. Lille needs to sell David and get the next 20 year old striker from Belgium or Netherlands in the system to keep things moving. I think Lille will not be as good next year.

Nothing really new in this report. Just speculation that Milan might go for David because Sesko is too expensive.

Serie A has just announced that they have changed their rules when it comes to non-EU players starting next season. Teams will no longer have to sell a non-EU player if they want to bring in a second non-EU player each season.

As an example, Inter were only able to sign Buchanan because they had sold Onana at the start of the season.

So things have become a little bit easier for either Milan or Napoli if they are interested in trying to sign David.
