So apparently Qatar was assigned to group D to give them max resting time, not to avoid making the US and Mexico groups tougher.

I wonder how many years before this part of the draw (top 4 teams) is also an actual draw, to allow USA and Mexico to meet even earlier. Maybe it will only happen once USA (or Mexico) is ranked outside the top 5.

May not be the best draw but we avoid Mexico, avoid Curaçao and have revenge matches agains the US and Haiti.  I will take that draw.  Bring it.

With Haiti (potentially, yet very likely) and USA in our group, potential group of death. Nonetheless, we have the talent to really shake some people up here. Tough loss with Martinique in our group but this should throw an ALMOST for sure W in our column. Lets make some noise lads

I agree with this except the part about worrying about avoiding Curaçao. CONCACAF is getting more wide open and they are one of many teams at a similar level.

Our group: USA, Canada, Martinique, Winner of Haiti/Saint Vincent and the Grenadines vs. Bermuda/Barbados

We could potentially have the US, Canada, and Haiti vying for 2 spots to get out of the group stage. In the QF, the winner of Group B plays the 2nd place finisher from Group C, while the 2nd place finisher from B plays the winner from C.

Let’s not think of Martinique as the team that lost 4-0 against us. Let’s think of them as the team that only lost 3-2 against Mexico.
