Gian-Luca
Cuba needs to score 8 goals in injury time to prevent us from qualifying for the 2021 Gold Cup...... Kent, hamiltonfan and ted 1
dyslexic nam
It’s too bad Cuba completely capitulated In the first 15 minutes. Still 7-0 in the last couple of minutes, so with a better first few minutes we might still be out in front with goal differential.
apbsmith
I honestly felt Cuba players were in on the fix of the handicap line of -5.5 or maybe that's just me. Bizzare opening 15 mins and entire first half by Cuba. The added insurance goal to ensure a cover of 6 goals or more ( only goal in 2nd half), quite comical. Defender jumped then literally through his arm out to block it with his hand. Regardless we will never know but that was quite the interesting level of intensity by the Cubans to open the match. Floortom
Montserrat - El Salvador tonight at 10pm is almost as big as our Tuesday game. A loss would be catastrophic for El Salvador as they would lose 22 points but even a draw (-8 points) would drop them well down in the standings dyslexic nam, CanadianSoccerFan, sstackho and 2 others

BrennanFan
After early pressure from Montserrat, El Sal is starting to control the play more. Montserrat defending well, and playing hopeful long balls.
Floortom
every time I watch El Salvador play I wonder how they are ranked higher than us. Both these sides look bad. An ugly draw would work great for Canada though CanadaFan123 and dyslexic nam

But especially us - we beat them at home and drew them away last WCQ. And they have been poor in Gold cups as well. Where are the points coming from? Central American championships? Their one win against Jamaica in CNL Qualifying? We lost to Haiti and Mexico in the last year - they lost to Bermuda and Dominican Republic!! We really shot ourselves in the foot not having friendlies. Edited October 13, 2019 by CanadaFan123
dyslexic nam
Montserrat have held them off so far, but if their whole plan is to boot the ball upfield and concede possession whenever they are under pressure, I am sure ES will eventually break them down for a goal or two. Also, the fact that we don't get high-yield matches against glorified pub teams in the Caribbean and Central American championships always puts at a disadvantage against teams like T&T and El Salvador. Colliedor
Montserrat were so much better early on, they really took their foot off the pedal. Concacaf can't be watching this game and still think using the rankings are a good idea, surely. El Salvador does not look like a hex team, no where near.
