Karifa Yao, as well as WFC2 midfielders Giovanni Aguilar and Malcolm Johnston, and forward Gloire Amanda. Yao will be eligible for the MLS Re-Entry Draft.

Centre backs Lucas Dasovic and Simone Masi, wingback Elage Bah, midfielder Vasco Fry, and forward Joe Hanson are out of contract at the end of the year.

Gloire Amanda went from Austria to out of contract in 2 years. Going to be tough finding rosters spots without an expansion teams coming in.

Here is a good place for Rocket Robin's views (or another person who knows L1O).  Who on these two XI squads would be the best candidates to do well in CPL? I know nothing about these players.

I have said it many a times, but there are plenty of CPL teams in need of a dynamic attacking midfielder. Zis would be an absolute steal. Maybe a Valour / VFC option?

Skublak caught flak in his first CPL stint, but the Anthony Novak types have been in demand over the years.

Czerkawski is interesting and raw as hell considering his season after a position change from CB to ST. A cheap budget team could use him as a utility player LOL. Last player I can remember making a similar move was Gabriel Boakye?

Higgins could probably land somewhere, had a much better second CPL stint than first. Has also played out wide in the past.

Facchineri is maybe the most likely pickup due to his age, and is the more prototypical CB. I believe he is still at UWin, so might be an option for a USPORTS draft contract.

Caldeira is supposedly expected to be a high MLS super draft pick.

Maan/Vaikla are likely CPL level, but goalkeeper spots are so limited.

I suppose that the age range of these All-Canadian players ranges from about 18/19 for first years to about 23/24 for fifth year. I would think that the potential to become professional is reduced as you age. Would focussing on top year 1 and 2 have a bigger potential payoff (for CPL or other developmental leagues)?

Some folks on the board have suggested that NCAA is not producing as many MLS players since more and more of the better new guys are getting club experience at earlier ages. And, of course, Usports does not have a record of producing MLS players.

Not knowing any of these All Canadians, do guys like Christian Zeppieri or Eric Lajeunesse, very young and successful in Usports, have a better chance at professional careers, or is it the player himself who impresses or doesn't at a particular time?

New Zealand Central League - Kairo Coore and Stefan Karajovanovic - after struggling with FC Edmonton and HFX Wanderers/TFC II these 2 put up some impressive number in the NZ Central League (honestly not sure of the level of this league - semi-pro?)

Coore: 10 goals in 17 games (1079 mins).

Karajovanovic: 7 goals, 1 assist in 12 games (997 mins)

Perhaps ready for another shot in the CanPL.  (Could one be another of the "players with CanPL experience" PDS eluded to?)

Karajovanovic is back here currently, article mentions he could come back though I suppose it’s loose

Struggled is a harsh word for Karajovanovic with HFX. He couldn't finish if his life depended on it, but otherwise he was great at creating chances and was top 10 in shots and 6th in shots on target during his CPL season. Some of it felt like tough luck, as the opportunities were there. Of the 10 most frequent shooters in the CPL, players scored at a median rate of goal/4.3 shots whereas Stefan only had 1 goal on 34 total shots. I tend to believe he has the potential to be a double digit scorer in the CPL.

Maybe closer to amateur in some cases is my understanding. Similar to the League 1's in a Canadian context in other words basically but with conventional pro/rel to local amateur leagues. New Zealand tried to have a conventional national league from the 70s to the early 90s but the travel involved wasn't sustainable given the low level of spectator interest. Rugby Union dominates in New Zealand.  More recently they tried to have a national format with regional select teams but now they have shifted to a short 9 games national format for the top finishers in three regional leagues so they can keep long distance travel to a minimum.

Kairo Coore was solid with Fced in an half season. Went back to uni to keep eligibility. Alan Koch brought him over right away. He was good with fced in his rookie season
