On January 21st, the MLS will be holding the 2021 Superdraft. I went through the list of eligible players for the draft and tried to compile a list of Canadians. Below is the list I've compiled, not sure if I'm missing any. https://mlssoccer.app.box.com/s/955kx899bpc6dniq1l1a459j7jjcwvmt/file/764163998643 Matt Constant - '98 - CB Joel Harrison - '99 - CB Noah Jensen - '99 - CM Ryan Khedoo - '99 - CM Sameer Fathazada - '99 - CM Kyle Hiebert - '97 - CB/DM

Players you expect to see in the CPL
aredding77 replied to lazlo_80's topic in Canadian Premier League
The agency representing Ollie Bassett (former Norther Ireland u-19 Attacking Midfielder) has confirmed that Ollie has signed with a team from the CPL. The article doesn't mention which team it is. He spent 2020 with a team in the New Zealand Football Championship (Top tier football for New Zealand), a semi-professional team in Australia, and then closed out the year with Nuneaton Borough (7th tier England). https://northerntribune.ca/canadian-premier-league-ollie-bassett/ -

Camp Poutine 2021 @ IMG in Florida Jan 9 -24
aredding77 replied to Olympique_de_Marseille's topic in Men's National Teams
Belal Halbouni from Werder Bremen II has just posted a screenshot of the email being sent to players for the Camp on his Instagram. In the email it confirms that the Camp is from January 9th to the 24th. Parts of the email are cut off, however it appears to confirm everything that has been mentioned on this thread regarding only having training matches against the US. I'm excited to see how deep the camp is going to be. Halbouni was just starting to get regular playing time with Werder Bremen II and it sounded like he was doing well, before the German government shut down the German fo -
Players you expect to see in the CPL
aredding77 replied to lazlo_80's topic in Canadian Premier League
Brian Wright and Mathieu Laurent, both of whom played with the Birmingham Legion FC of the USL Championship last year are now free agents. Brian was with the New England Revolution a few years ago and had a great start to the 2020 season with Birmingham before fading towards the end. Mathieu had some tough luck after tearing his ACL in September. I think both of these players would be fantastic pickups with the right CPL team. -
Another factor that could be in play for him is Olympic Qualifying and the U-23 team. Maybe he explores all options this year (even if it is lower wages in the CPL), and tries to make the U-23 team, then re-evaluates things next offseason? You'd have to think the potential to be an Olympian would be a pretty compelling reason to stick with professional soccer for at least this coming year and then see where things go.

Canadian Premier League joins CONCACAF League

Chris Nanco posted on his Instagram stories last night that he arrived in Panama City very early this morning. With Kwame Awuah back at LB and Nanco on the wing (even if it might be as a substitute), these are great reinforcements to be getting back ahead of the game against Tauro FC.- 314 replies

Also I don't believe he is in the photo you are referencing, however Felix N'Sa (younger brother of Chrisnovic N'Sa) is currently training with Pacific FC as well. He's a 2003 born CB.

Well unfortunately for Dominik, his team is down 3-0 to Hungary with 20 minutes remaining. Short of a miracle, Bulgaria will not qualify for the Euros.

Unfortunately it looks like he has accepted the call up as well... he just posted on his Instagram account that he's joined the Bulgarian national team

Noble has been loaned out to HB Koge FC of the Danish second division for the remainder of the 2020 Fall season. This is the same team that TFC loaned Rocco Romeo too (however Rocco's loan is for the full Danish which ends in the spring).

Last week, it was announced that Nassim has been resigned by his current club JS Kabylie to a two year contract extension, running through to the end of the 2021 season.
