  1. Great catch! I got my USSDA seasons mixed up. Pearlman was the captain of the u15 TFC Academy for the 2019-2020 season.
  2. I've heard great things about him! My comment was only talking about the TFC Academy kids.
  3. No, none at Jahkeele's level. During the USSDA games/Concacaf games he was a standout amongst the group.
  4. I watched a few of the TFC Academy games where the 04/05's won the championship in addition to the 2019 Concacaf U15 championships, and the following 05's really stood out: Hugo Mbongue Mbongue - F - Mentioned above, Ralph's younger brother. Aside from Jahkeele, and the Impact's Assi, Hugo stood out as probably the next best attacker on the group. Josh Gordon - FB - Played RB at the time but he's been growing over the last 1.5 years and he's been training as a RCB. Very physically dominant for his age group Adam Pearlman - CB - He was the captain of the TFC team who won the USSDA championship in 2019. He's a left footed CB who was born in South Africa but moved to Canada in 2012. He didn't play with the U15 Canada team, but was at an ID camp in 2019. Maybe a dual national to watch out for? Of course, as mentioned by many. These guys are all very younger of course and things can change, however, answering the original question... I'd say that the TFC Academy does have some talented 05's as well as Jahkeele and the 04's.
  5. On January 21st, the MLS will be holding the 2021 Superdraft. I went through the list of eligible players for the draft and tried to compile a list of Canadians. Below is the list I've compiled, not sure if I'm missing any. https://mlssoccer.app.box.com/s/955kx899bpc6dniq1l1a459j7jjcwvmt/file/764163998643 Matt Constant - '98 - CB Joel Harrison - '99 - CB Noah Jensen - '99 - CM Ryan Khedoo - '99 - CM Sameer Fathazada - '99 - CM Kyle Hiebert - '97 - CB/DM
  6. The agency representing Ollie Bassett (former Norther Ireland u-19 Attacking Midfielder) has confirmed that Ollie has signed with a team from the CPL. The article doesn't mention which team it is. He spent 2020 with a team in the New Zealand Football Championship (Top tier football for New Zealand), a semi-professional team in Australia, and then closed out the year with Nuneaton Borough (7th tier England). https://northerntribune.ca/canadian-premier-league-ollie-bassett/
  7. I believe Dayonn Harris has been signed by the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USLC
  8. FIFA has officially cancelled the men's u-17 and men's u-20 world cup's that were scheduled for 2021. https://www.fifa.com/news/update-on-fifa-women-s-world-cuptm-and-men-s-youth-competitions
  9. Belal Halbouni from Werder Bremen II has just posted a screenshot of the email being sent to players for the Camp on his Instagram. In the email it confirms that the Camp is from January 9th to the 24th. Parts of the email are cut off, however it appears to confirm everything that has been mentioned on this thread regarding only having training matches against the US. I'm excited to see how deep the camp is going to be. Halbouni was just starting to get regular playing time with Werder Bremen II and it sounded like he was doing well, before the German government shut down the German fourth tier competitions and below due to CVID-19.
  10. Brian Wright and Mathieu Laurent, both of whom played with the Birmingham Legion FC of the USL Championship last year are now free agents. Brian was with the New England Revolution a few years ago and had a great start to the 2020 season with Birmingham before fading towards the end. Mathieu had some tough luck after tearing his ACL in September. I think both of these players would be fantastic pickups with the right CPL team.
  11. Another factor that could be in play for him is Olympic Qualifying and the U-23 team. Maybe he explores all options this year (even if it is lower wages in the CPL), and tries to make the U-23 team, then re-evaluates things next offseason? You'd have to think the potential to be an Olympian would be a pretty compelling reason to stick with professional soccer for at least this coming year and then see where things go.
  12. Chris Nanco posted on his Instagram stories last night that he arrived in Panama City very early this morning. With Kwame Awuah back at LB and Nanco on the wing (even if it might be as a substitute), these are great reinforcements to be getting back ahead of the game against Tauro FC.
  13. Also I don't believe he is in the photo you are referencing, however Felix N'Sa (younger brother of Chrisnovic N'Sa) is currently training with Pacific FC as well. He's a 2003 born CB.
  14. Ryan David Lindsay Position: CB or DM Birthday: December 4, 2001 Originally signed with Toronto FC Academy in 2018 Left TFC to join Dinamo Zagreb u19 in February 2020 Left the Dinamo Zagreb u19 team to join the senior team of FK Pohronie (Slovakian First Tier) Signed with York 9 on a two year deal through the 2022 season with a team option for a third year
  15. Ryan Lindsay (Formerly of FK Pohronie of the Slovakian First Tier) has been signed by York 9 FC to a two year contract plus an option for the 2023 season. https://york9fc.canpl.ca/article/york9-fc-signs-canadian-defender-ryan-lindsay
