An update on Sean van Yearden (Japanese/Canadian) who plays as a defender (193cm) with Yokohama FC U18.

https://web.gekisaka.jp/news/detail/?351831-351831-fl

Interesting article, here's the translated section that will be most of interest to this forum:

My father is Canadian and my mother is Japanese. "Because I am still dual citizen, I can be a representative of Canada or Japan. Recently, the representative of Canada has become stronger, the World Cup qualifying has come undefeated, and I have beaten Mexico, which is quite good. There are many young people, and I'm also interested in them, "said the 17-year-old. While thinking about the not-so-distant future, he clearly sets goals for the year in front of him.

"As a team, I have the goal of being within the 3rd place in the premiere, and as an individual, I want to be a generational representative, and I am aiming to be promoted to the top team." The road we are still on is definitely in the middle of a growth process. The potential of Van Yarden Sean is filled with endless possibilities.
