king1010
I thought it was odd as well, but apparently Bengston has sucked badly since the last Qualifiers. I read an article yesterday which said he is the 5th choice striker, can't find the link now. Lozano is injured. This article confirms Izaguirre won't start: http://www.diez.hn/laseleccion/900373-99/pinto-confirma-que-ever-alvarado-será-titular-y-no-emilio-izaguirre Izaguirre not starting? That's a strange decision to me. Good for Canada though.
Keegan
I thought it was odd as well, but apparently Bengston has sucked badly since the last Qualifiers. I read an article yesterday which said he is the 5th choice striker, can't find the link now. Lozano is injured. This article confirms Izaguirre won't start: http://www.diez.hn/laseleccion/900373-99/pinto-confirma-que-ever-alvarado-será-titular-y-no-emilio-izaguirre Hmm odd. Maybe Emilio Izaguirre isn't pacey and they would prefer to go with a rigid defender since they expect to absorb pressure. Indeed though his replacement is the 23 year old with (if Wikipedia can be trusted) one cap. We're also leaning heavily on a player with one cap though... The article is also saying that Pinto knows our key pieces. Unsurprising since all you need to do is a quick google search, which apparently diez.hn struggles with. Also for the LOLs: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.diez.hn%2Flaseleccion%2F900210-99%2Fconoc%C3%A9-a-la-canadiense-que-le-va-a-la-selecci%C3%B3n-de-honduras They interviewed a Canadian teaching 3rd grade there who clearly knows nothing about the sport. She says Honduras will win because they have strong players, she reads the newspapers and she knows nothing about our team. Expert analysis indeed. Oh she also says if we were to play in hockey we would win har har har so original! She'll be watching the match... yet another pair of eyes we need to open and a mouth we need to shut. jpg75
Apparently Izzaguirre had some travel issues and arrived in Houston Tuesday. Saw the headline on diez.hn a few days ago but didn't think it was that important. Also, Lozano reported to the team but stayed in Honduras to nurse his injury. He may be available to play at home against Mexico.
Razcle
She'll be watching the match... yet another pair of eyes we need to open and a mouth we need to shut. Too easy! Watching us mop the floor with Honduras will go a long way to having the rest of the group take notice as well.
James Duke
I'm a bit worried about the lack of pace at the center of defence. Not so much tomorrow 9as we should ahve most of the possession), but in the road games when we are soaking up pressure. I assume Larin is starting. Needs to be strong on the ball up front.Center of the park (hutch, straith, and johnson) is as good as we've had in many years, if healthy. I'm guessing straith starts as a holding #6. king1010
@ProvinceWeber: I've asked PavCo what concerns are over opening roof during storm. CSA has made it clear they want it open. I'm hearing that's not likely.

True but at the same time he seems too nervous... Are you going to the St Regis Hotel party thing Rob? If so, may I recommend that everybody march to the Marriot Pinnacle hotel? That's where the Hondurans are staying. Go there with drums and make lots of noise! It's a 10 minute walk away. http://www.diez.hn/laseleccion/900362-99/vancouver-recibe-a-la-selección-de-honduras-con-tres-grados
