.... Do we really, trully think having the roof open is a tactic?

Yes I do.   It is currently 37 degrees in Honduras.  It is 11 in Vancouver.   So any of the visiting team that plays at home on a regular basis this change will be quite a shock.  This is why a lot of people were calling for the game to be played somewhere outdoors.

Honduran journos were jogging on the spot to keep warm during training yesterday and the roof was closed.

If every other federation tries to gain a home field advantage then we should be doing the same thing. There is no dishonour in having the roof opened so that we play the game in single digit temperatures. By the way, the Hondurans just spent the last week in Houston where the daily high was in the mid-20's.

Looks like the rain passed over because the forecast is for 1mm this afternoon. Game time temp. of about 9C.

And Canadian players were wearing winter coats. If Honduras thought weather was an issue for them, they wouldn't have trained in Houston.

don't think it was a wise decision by honduras to train in 25 degree weather in the lead up to a game played in 5 to 10 degree weather.

would love to see them "not thinking weather was an issue" backfire on them
