squizz1402635577
De Guzman is starting. CSA just tweeted a video of the locker room, and in JDG's stall were the captain's armband and pre-game pennant.
jonovision
CSA just tweeted a video of the dressing room showing all the jerseys and locker stalls. De Guzman's had the banner and captain's armband in it, so we can assume he is starting.
Blackdude
Here's what I think that they'll do. Borjan Ledgerwood Edgar Straith de Jong de Guzman Nakajima Hutchinson Johnson Teibert Larin Ricketts and Akindele to come on as subs for the second half for Johnson and probably Nakajima and if the score is in Canada's way, Gasparotto for de Guzman with Straith playing as a d-mid. baulderdash77
Why would they bring in Ricketts and Akindele? They are the best wingers we have.

Obinna
Blackdude's suggestion is not as crazy as you'd think. Floro could go for creativity over pace to start and then bring in Akindele and Ricketts when legs get tired...... ..but my money is on David C's lineup. I predicted exactly the same. jonovision
^ With Hutchinson, de Guzman, and Johnson available (and a weaker opponent) the team shouldn't have to rely nearly as much on its forward an wide positions to create as it did at the Gold Cup. Big_M
Best 11 in a long time. And it would be even better with Akindele in place of Ricketts.

Unnamed Trialist
Wow stamma. Thats a shock And he did terribly, just like in the GC. You are reminded that Borjan DECLINED the call to the last competition for club considerations, so Stama definitely deserved to start, at least this game. Im happy he did. Just didnt expect as did the other who posted line up preidiction with borjan in net. Of course he didnt do terribly. Hes a good goalkeeper. Johnson also declined the gold cup and started. So seeing stamma start was a surprise to me.
BearcatSA
Bekker also plays a style that the average Canadian following football doesn't always fully appreciate. He doesn't run around and doesn't seem to have any physical advantages. You might not see him in a match for a while. Instead, he relies on his technique and quick touches. While too many of our players dwell on the ball and lose possession easily. Bekker is the type of player many Europeans and most South Americans favour and appreciate more. I guess, after watching him closely for a more extended period of time, the Latin American braintrust running FC Dallas didn't appreciate him enough, either
BrennanFan
I guess, after watching him closely for a more extended period of time, the Latin American braintrust running FC Dallas didn't appreciate him enough, either not enough for an international spot. Coramoor
^^ that's the only real reason, I'd take Bekker over Hollingshead any day of the week, if you think Bekker has poor ball control, just watch Hollingshead for a few minutes
BearcatSA
not enough for an international spot. Maybe he'll get some end of season minutes or starts with the Impact. But if he ends up being let go at season's end, then his domestic status wouldn't have helped him much either
