Agreed including the Netherlands, England, and Bosnia.

Yes these specific countries have "taken" from us, but those are isolated incidences and those nations don't obsess over any player of their heritage playing abroad. Hargreaves was a guy about to break out at Bayern Munich and De Guzman was playing in the Netherlands at the time. Unless you can show me Dutch or English fans, pundits and their respective FAs obsess over a Canadian of said heritage playing on a MLS youth squad, it's not the same thing. Not even close.

The problem @Macksam is addressing is the fact Canada has no actual player pool. Instead we have to turn over stones to find people and Canada does a shitty as fuck job at that (Alan Mannus is proof of how shitty our searching power is). Canada is in a place where we basically need to hope a guy will settle for Canada and that's a fucking joke.

Canada is also in a place where any Canadian playing in Sweden's 3rd tier is being followed by the national team and that's even more of a fucking joke.

Yeah some guys like Arfield are real gets and adding Cristante, Tomori and Ferreira would make us a feared side in CONCACAF likely but going after just anyone (which is largely the case with Canada) is a waste of time and money. We need to be selective when it comes to this.

You mean no where near as frequently. Most are searching their own leagues for players to follow or are only tracking those in top tiers (sometimes second tiers) from maybe a handful of nations that might be eligible.

This is the type of post that deserves multiple likes. This is our ultimate goal and what every voyageur should be hoping for.

FourFourTwo in England published an article on their website a few days ago about each Premier League teams future prospect. It's similar to The Guardian report but has a bit more information about him if anyone is interested. Here is the link:

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/all-20-premier-league-clubs-brightest-youth-prospect-yet-make-their-first-team-debuts

Apparently, it says that he was born in Canada to a French father and Canadian mother but is being looked at by the English FA for their youth teams. We could do with trying to get him to play for our own youth teams ASAP as it sounds like he moved to England at quite a young age. His situation seems quite similar to Fikayo Tomori's so lets hope it doesn't end up the same way.

UPDATE: According to Burnley's website, he was recently nominated as the club's 'Scholar of the Year' at a special Premier League event. The article (link below) seems to suggest he's had a good season this year. Maybe the CSA should start thinking about approaching him to join our youth set up if they haven't done so already? I've read elsewhere that England are reportedly showing interest.

His profile on the team site says he has a younger brother in the Burnley youth ranks as well.  Goalkeeper it appears.

The article says that Tristan Jumeau's brother Oliver moved to Morecambe at some point after starting at Burnley.

Tristan and Burnley u18 are playing in the Generali CEE Cup in the Czech Republic starting July 19.  There are 12 teams playing including  two other English premiership u18 teams and  one team from Canada, Prostars FC.

Hopefully there will be some great video of this young Canadian  potential star player and the Canadian team.

The fact that he is scoring regularly for the U17s and U18s, while just being 15 years old is very impressive!

I hope he choses Canada (Mother) over France (Father)! Is he eligible for the FA? (England)

Has the CSA reached out to bring him in for youth camps?

I hope he  chooses  Canada too. Ya he is eligible for England because he lives there and there have been reports the FA is scouting him hard. I don't have twitter but can someone send a twitter message to the CSA asking if they know and been in contact, and scouting him. Or does anyone know that the CSA is involved? Because OZ did have u15/16 camp recently.

I hope the CSA doesn't mess this up!
