Gian-Luca
Can’t believe that goal was disallowed, and Nelson gets a yellow on top of that canuckgbp, narduch, PastPros and 2 others
canuckgbp
Nelson got robbed imo. Not sure why the ref didn’t have a look.

SpursFlu
As a Caps fan with VAR a thing, those calls were absolutely brutal. Really no excuse for that toontownman

Gian-Luca
I also thought Cavallini may have been offside when was played through but they never showed a good replay of that. In any event, at least the Toronto Teens (as they should be called) will know what it’s like to get shafted by the Refs, that Nelson call was brutal Free kick

Gian-Luca
To be honest it looked like a battle between two teams who won't be anywhere near the playoff spots. It was a better game to watch in the 2nd half but mainly because both teams said "Screw midfield!" which is not really a tactic that will get either team very far for the rest of the season. The only saving grace for TFC is that its mostly a 2nd & 3rd string roster they had out there, filled with teenagers or 21 year olds getting some valuable minutes (in part because several other teens are injured or suspended)- and they still should have won the game. However, they lost it. Perhaps Caldwell can not jinx the team next time with "9 point week" predictions. I mean, it was a 9 point week - for the opposition. jonovision
TFC got the short end of the stick on referee's decisions, but if you let the result go to the judges against this horrible Whitecaps side, that's on you.

I hope that game was heavily scouted by the Fraser Valley CPL team
gator
I just finished watching the match, TFC did get screwed and I would like to hear the ref's version why the goal wasn't given, I was entertained by the amount of Cancon in this match and some of the youngsters played quite well including Nelson who may have had one of his best games! Both teams played a conservative first half but TFC should have been ahead, it was nice to see a winner from Ricketts who always answered the call for our MNT! Gian-Luca
Not exactly a match update but with my father getting up there in years we decided to take the elevator up to the second floor and by sure coincidence got into it at the same time as Dwayne de Rosario - either he is taller than I thought or I am shorter than I thought. narduch and YorkRegionFan 1
Gian-Luca
We joked up the elevator ride with Dwayne that we wished he was still out there playing, and that was before we knew that TFC was only able to dress 17 players for a home match, three of which are TFC2 call ups…. In my dream scenario we can start 7 Canadians and be one of the best teams in the league. But I'm not sure that will EVER happen. Hell the best American MLS teams only play 2 or 3 Americans. Gian-Luca
The 4 19 year lads are playing well, so is Petrasso but I would put Ayo on for Peruzza who is too slow to shoot today. Starting 4 teens and 6 players 21 or under is somewhat insane though I know that they are likely not doing so for the fun of it narduch
youllneverwalkalone
Yeah, I think Orlando only have one American today. narduch
narduch
Orlando are 3rd in the Eastern conference but they are hardly taking it to this makeshift TFC. Has MLS quality overall simply dropped?
