Really good to hear for us, if he isn't participating in the Chile camp there's little reason for him to refuse a call-up from Canada for the camp in Costa Rica in a couple weeks. It doesn't guarantee he'll play for us in February, but if Gale and co. like him in September and he gets called up by both teams in the winter, I would imagine he'd prefer actually playing for Canada rather than presumably being a back-up for Chile given the fringe player treatment he's had there. From there, as OM said, he would still have his one time switch to play for Chile if his club career takes off, so from the player's perspective it seems like it would be at worst a harmless career move. Chile are having a 34 player mini-camp right now.
