I know RB is hated throughout Germany and that sentiment will only grow as they progress. But face it, they got the money AND the knowledge to succed (only take a look at Red Bull Salzburg). TSG Hoffenheim faces the same hatred because it's not a Traditionsverein either. Even though their owner Hopp really wanted a regional team based in Heidelberg, he eventually had to buy a club from a small village and have it promoted into the Bundesliga.

But you know who the most hated club in Germany is? Bayern Munich. The most popular and the most hated. Same goes with Ajax in the Netherlands. So I don't think it really matters what the other clubs supporters think. The fanbase of RB has to grow yes. But I don't see the same sentiment when some sjeiks buy Manchester City FC and pomp litteraly hunderds of pounds into his new toy to buy a Championship. (BTW if you spend 200 milion pounds in a football club and they play the way they did in 2012, you need to be arrested by the football police. Really, Mancini is a disgrace to the game).

Point is, yes traditional clubs are great, but the modern game is all about the Benjamins (unfortunately).

Jorgo Nika appearantly played in a recent friendly for Eintracht's reserves. So far he hasn't been listed as being part of the squad, though, and as said previously, he is too old for the U-19 since he turns 20 this season.

Hopp doesn't own the club (he is de facto calling all the shots there, though), and he supported the club for years (he already was a member in his youth). He wanted to merge Hoffenheim with a few other clubs from the region (including SV Sandhausen) and play iin the city of Heidelberg, rather than in the village of Hoffenheim. However, in the end none of the other clubs wanted to give up their independence.

And Bayern are not hated in the same way as Leipzig are. People might root against them, but they are accepted as a legitimate club. Fans do not boycott games against Bayern, unlike games against RBL (who had to cancel multiple friendlies due to protests of the opposing team's fans).

JLL played the first half giving up 3 goals as LOK lost 3-0 at home in a friendly against 5th division Budissa Bautzen. Apparently he also suffered an ankle injury in this game. JLL was supposed to sign a two year contract yesterday but no news on whether he did so. Possibly the ankle injury may have affected this. Likewise Lapenna also has an ankle injury which may affect whether he signs with LOK or not. And no I am not playing with voodoo dolls because I don't want any Canadians to play for LOK :)

You may have to get another Voodoo doll in the mix :D. They are now testing Jorko Nika (former U19 Braunschweig Striker). Also Julien Latendresse-Levesque definitely signed now. Marco Lapenna is not 100% yet!

Not really a step forward, but that was to be expected. Xanti is not known as a very reliable club, so halfway through the season expect interviews in which he states that they are not paying him anymore and that he and his adviser are looking for solutions (the adviser who told me to sign a contract with Xanti would be fired btw).

Greek Superleague > Bundesliga 2

A few years ago i would agree with this but not so sure it is true now. There are a lot of problems in the Greek league and the quality of play has suffered a lot in recent years. At best this is a lateral transfer and while he will probably get paid more than in Germany there is a real risk of not getting paid at all. Still probably a bit better than playing in Poland though.

Yeah I am not quite sure Greece is better than B2 either. Olympiacos would likely dominate the B2 and I could see PAOK finishing right behind them, but after that I think most of the B2 teams would out preform the Greek ones.

As I said in the other thread, the fact that JDG's team was bottom tier B2, and got relegated to B3 must be considered. Top half of the Greek table > relegation zone of B2.

Added Blank...I'm researching Karanouh it seems he was there since 2009 but ONLY on transfermarket is he still listed with the club I'm trying to find if he moved on.

As for Bellar, unless he makes the main roster, Gyori ETO II is not first tier, it's 4th tier, and as such is too low tier for the list, Hungary is tracked to the 3rd tier at the moment :) From a research perspective for the thread it makes it MUCH easier for me to do when I do the major updates. Can someone help me find more on this Karanouh guy?

Rennie has said he's just trying to get fit.

Too bad. I find players typically gain more prestige as their careers progress and as their understanding for the game improves. Unfortunately for Straith, he seems to be moving backwards. Thought a fresh start in Vancouver might have fit well, especially as Rusin scares me, Mitchell mystifies me, and Klazura gives me night-terrors.
