I don't like the fact that the other two main keepers at the club are both Bulgarian internationals.

That is worrying but on the other hand Bulgaria is weak at keeper right now. One of the keepers on his new team is a Serb who got Bulgarian citizenship to play for their national team so they are really searching for a number 1 keeper at the moment. However, the other keeper Stoyanov did win player of the year award last year in the Bulgarian league. But he is still only starting half the games for the team this year so possibly they are not totally happy with his play this year.

Yeah, was about to say that as well. I don't think the club, and the agent would have missed that.

18.22 If a club cannot count on the services of at least two goalkeepers registered
on List A because of long-term injury or illness, the club concerned may
temporarily replace the goalkeeper concerned and register a new goalkeeper
at any time during the season and complete the official registration list A with
a goalkeeper fit to be fielded. An injury or illness is considered long-term if it
lasts at least 30 days as of the day the injury or illness occurred. In case the
recovery of the goalkeeper occurs before this 30 day period, the player must
remain out of the players List A until the end of such period. If the replaced
goalkeeper was registered as a locally trained player, the new goalkeeper
does not need to be a locally trained player. The club must provide UEFA with
the necessary medical evidence in one of UEFA's official languages. UEFA
may require further medical examination of the goalkeeper by an expert
appointed by UEFA at the cost of the club. Once the injured or ill goalkeeper
is fit to be fielded again he can resume his position in place of his nominated
substitute. The change must be announced to the UEFA administration 24
hours before the next match in which the goalkeeper is due to play.

wow last minute switch to a top club in bulgaria thats playing in the champions league. AND he may start their first champions league match. Hopefully he can nail down the starting role with a couple good performances. It looks like the competition is tough. If he has a good season though a move to a higher league would be a lot easier.

"According to Major League Soccer's official website, Borjan would become the first Canadian to play in the UEFA Champions League tournament since 2007-08, when goalkeeper Lars Hirschfeld suited up for Norwegian club Rosenborg."

Has Hutch not played any CL? Wow...
