    • Saw this feature on Sportscentre tonight, promoting the Copa America. https://www.tsn.ca/soccer/video/the-summer-of-soccer-can-cyle-larin-come-up-clutch-for-canada-again-at-copa-america~2914261
    • I disagree. Watch Eden Hazard’s interview with John Obi Mikel. When Hazard’s ankle was destroyed, he couldn’t bounce back. This was mainly attributed to the fact that he wasn’t allowed to have a medical assistant to rehab correctly due to COVID restrictions. The main thing that he said is that he could never reach that top speed needed in training ever again. It didn’t matter how hard he tried. This is why he was never picked to play again. What I’m trying to say is that everyone responds differently to career ending injuries. It is not necessarily your weight or mentality that determines your success of coming back from these setbacks.
    • I really think this is all due to the schedule being delayed in the first place. If Forge and the CPL had known which weeks these games would be played when they came up with their schedule, they wouldn't have initially planned to have a league game on Tuesday and wouldn't have sold thousands of tickets to schools beforehand. They can't cancel or even move that game without causing a big stink, so they had to repurpose that time slot to play this game against Montreal. Hopefully now that there is a general secretary at the CSA and not all the uncertainty there was at the start of the year, the source of the problem won't happen again. It's not ideal, but not without precedent. The English Premier League is constantly having short turnaround during the Christmas season. For example, in 2021 some teams played on Sunday December 26th, then again on Tuesday December 28th. That's a shorter break than Montreal is about to get.
    • Since they developed him, and he is under 24? (I think on the age) a new team will have to pay some compensation but essentially yes.
    • Would think overseas, maybe even mls on a cheap roster spot.   it’s not like he doesn’t have a decent resume and don’t forget other teams made something of TFC cast offs.
