MrsC
China played a friendly on Friday night against the NWSL's Seattle Reign. The result was a 1-1 draw but what I thought was most interesting is that after the game I saw someone tweet that during post game interviews China claimed this was their first experience on turf. I am kicking myself for not saving the tweet at the time because I can't find it now.
tc-in-bc
I think CANWNT will beat China ( the Steel Roses) in the opening game of the WWC. China have been quite poor for most of 2015. China lost to Canada in the 2015 Ba'on Cup. China then finished last place in the 2015 Algarve Cup : losing the eleven/twelve place game to Portugal who are ranked 38 in the world by FIFA. Now a tie with a NWSL club, the Seattle Reign, on the weekend. An interesting point here is that China requested that the Seattle Reign NOT to stream the game to make it harder for China's WC opponents to scout them. Overall, I am more worried about New Zealand and the Netherlands.
