I've been a member here since maybe 2008. I'm getting old and don't really remember. This is my first post. I do not post because it will just lead to problems but I do stay tuned on this site regularly. Damar, Micah Chisholm are the real deal. They have been spending time in Europe since 15 years old. Training with big clubs, playing in friendlies and making contacts. They have been coached by people like Norbert Duwel, 9 years Bundesliga head coach and 6 year German women's National team head coach and Manchester United senior scout. Also, Marco Desisti UEFA A pro and 15 years Manchester United senior scout. Their Development has been calculated a long with Ruben Silva and a couple of others that will sign in Europe in near future all these players have been playing together since 8 years old and with the same coach. Stats say he is one of the best coaches in Canada. Damar is special, swift , athletic, with a high football IQ and most importantly the ability to learn. Damar is the youngest on his team. Not sure how much playing time he will get but he is making it very difficult for coach Defrancesco (a coaching legend in italy) to send him down to Primavera 1. He will play some games in Primavera but train with the first team. He already has about 4 teams in Europe asking g for a loan deal in January. He plays mid outside left and is an attacking player but the coach has also used him at left back. He is going to turn heads. The fans in Frosinone are already asking about him. I know this Info because I am the guy who has signed Damar and Micah. I live next door to Damar in Italy and travel to Hannover to visit Micah. These are young players who need support. It is an investment for my company, the clubs and communities they play for and Canada Soccer to guide them. They both can play for Jamaica and Jamaica has called but there hearts are 100 percent for Canada. They dream to play for Canada. In a few years time they will be both offered a German and Italian passport. Sorry for the long post but at Alcorso Sports Management are super excited for these player's. You can follow both Damar and Micah on Instagram as they go through their ups and downs. You can follow me on Instagram at to @alcorsosports to keep up with these players and others. Thanks for your time and noticing these players. They are fantastic human beings and an asset to their communities. They truly appreciate any support they can get! Sempre Avanti41 points

Micah Chisholm is a fantastic player! When he gets on the field he takes control. Loud, physical, athletic, hates to lose, high football IQ and Captain material. Micah was in Italy in May training with a team, I got a call from Hannover to see if we would send Micah there for atleast a week. After the first training session they called me and offered Micah a contract. Micah is 6'3 but needs to add some mass. Hannover is very pleased with Micah. He is a left footed left back that runs like the wind. They are now playing him at center back. Micah is a great person to be around and confident in any room. This guy is going places. I think he may get a few starts on the first team team this year. Hannover needs left backs and Micah fits the bill. You may not of heard of him but his football community has. Our goal is to develop him, find him him a team and contract and worry about national team stuff later. Both Micah and Damar Dixin will force the CSA to make the call with their play. We have already been in contact with the CSA. I think both parties are waiting for the right time to team up. These players woukd live your support and follow! You can find Micah on Instagram and @Alcorsosports SEMPRE AVANTI39 points

Liam was a dual national(England had asked him to a youth camp at the time) that made his senior men’s debut at 18 in n Marcia Spain Vs New Zealand(and got motm btw) at the time Liam was playing u23 at liverpool FC and U19 uefa youth league. It’s really important to bed these players in young and see what they can do. I know that Herdman gave Liam the belief to be fearless and he smashed every training session and got the start. For Luc to be a premier league club in the u21s and getting on the bench he’s a big prospect and I don’t think we can afford another Tomori. if he shows up and stakes a claim what do we hve to loose…31 points

Amazing experience and an amazing game. Crazy environment 6500 travelling away fans travelled down!! Thought Liam held his own and looked very threatening and didn’t look out of place Vs the premier league side. Over 1/2 a billion in players he started against. At one point double teamed by Stering and Palmer.. didn’t phase liam and he did so well defensively That being said Chelsea’s quality showed in the 2nd half and in the end a fair result (but don’t think it was a 4-0 game in the end at this point it’s about personal performances and he can hold his head high!!29 points

Luc de Fougerolles

I can't be the only one amused by the fact that we have an English-Canadian named 'Luc de Fougerolles' and a French-Canadian named 'Justin Smith'. We just need a German-Canadian named Giuseppe Esposito and an Italian-Canadian named Dieter Muller to complete the set.27 points -

He's happy. He's got a decent contract and he's part of one of the top 30 clubs in Europe. He's practiced and scrimmaged at all levels this season and played across the reserves and youth. He captained the 23s a few times this season. He and his club have a vision. Together they will decide what is best for him. That being said I go into the offseason pretty pumped to see what he does next - if anything official happens I'll post here, although @Olympique_de_Marseilleprobably beats me to it haha.27 points

Finally have a chance to put down some thoughts from yesterday in Frisco while flying back to Canada. First of all, kudos to Kevin Blue for coming and meeting the supporters at the pre-game. He talked to everyone who approached him and was very interested in seeing all of us come down to support the team. About the game itself, not pretty. We could have been behind before we scored. It was all about patience because T&T literally parked the bus. You could tell from our vantage point. We might have more success at Copa offensively because no one will be running a low block against us, but we will also get punished at the back. I would say just as satisfying as our win was seeing a stadium packed full of Hondurans and a smattering of Costa Ricans make noise like I haven’t heard since CR away in WC qualifying. And to say that more than a few Vs cheered the Tico goals would be an understatement. Then there was the Honduran fans pointing lasers at Navas, throwing liquids of various types at the CR supporters and every fifth word being “puta”. A really unpleasant bunch. Glad we didn’t have to play them cause it would have been like San Pedro Sula. Finally, Mauro Biello is 2 rows behind me on the plane. Already had a quick chat but can ask who he wants to replace him. Ha ha!26 points

It's not being a regular starter in MLS, it's his play while being a regular starter in MLS. He's been really, really good, starting with his performance in MLS Cup final in 2020. I would have him on my depth chart with Osorio right behind Staq and Kone in midfield. The kid is is 21 years old, and the has a really high ceiling, but more importantly has been playing really strongly in MLS for a while now. If this kid was a born and raised Canadian, people on this board would be overhyping the hell out of him. I watch him pretty frequently and I really rate him. We're a country that trots out Liam Fraser in qualification games in midfield. We're not as good/deep as some people seem to think we are.26 points -
Reading the TFC piece from the Athletic. https://theathletic.com/4555769/2023/05/26/toronto-fc-insigne-bernardeschi-bradley-mls/ In the meeting, per multiple sources present, Bernardeschi quipped “of course, you’re his son” to Michael when the veteran midfielder spoke up to encourage Bernardeschi to air his issues out in the meeting, and “of course, you’re his papa” to Bob. At one point, when Mark-Anthony Kaye interjected, Bernardeschi referred to Kaye as Bob’s “other son.” LMAO26 points

June 30. This move works for everyone involved. We are excited to see him play this journey out. Someone will have to direct/send me a Calvary jersey haha... the online shops are horrible. Also the U21 rule is really an underrated gem for the CPL, many here would be surprised how much of it is talked about in Portuguese and Spanish academies.25 points

Mo Farsi
Ottawafan and 24 others reacted to shermanator for a topic
In 2020 multiple CPL teams refused to bring Farsi in for a trial. Tommy Wheeldon and Cavalry gave him that opportunity. That year he received his first pro minutes and won the U-21 Canadian of the year. 3 years later he started and won MLS Cup. Farsi could have very well slipped through the cracks and never played pro. This is why CPL is important.25 points -
Yes, he's in contact with the federation. He becomes eligible at some point in the next year.25 points

Good for him. He is one of the most endearing success stories of all time from our player pool. From the lower divisions he worked his way up, earning promotion to and then scoring in the Premier League, and then shifting back to his lower division roots, where he finished his career as a very respectable kind of football everyman. All the while accepting the calls to Canada whenever needed and always putting in an honest effort for his country. Congratulations on a brilliant career, Simeon!25 points

I'm sorry but the comments about Davies don't reflect the reality of the game. He beat 4 men and fed Buchanan who skied it. He fed David who missed. After a run no one else makes, he would have had a hockey assist via Eustaquio if Larin finishes better. He picks the right pass on the break and does get an assist on Shaffellburg's. He had poor moments but he also still contributed to the majority of our chances. Of course he has to be told to play a two way game (and we need a coach that can instill that) but he can do that and continue to be a huge part of the offence.24 points

Did we really expect him to walk into the starting lineup of one of the best clubs in the world? For me he was always going to have to fight like hell for playing time. And that is exactly the kind of challenging environment we always say we want for our best players. Now he has gotten that kind of move - let’s not write it off after a month or two. If he hasn’t made progress this time next year we can chat about the wisdom of the move. But for now I am still 100% behind it.24 points -

Update on Damar Tomorrow Damar will play in Benito Stripe Stadium in Frosinone vs Salernitana another Serie A team in a friendly. Frosinone has already started loaning players out and releasing others. Damar is still in camp. After some discussions with Frosinone yesterday they said no final decision has been made for Damar but they probably will not loan him out because they want more control over his development. They want him to train with the first team but play games with Primavera. Their Primavera team plays in the first division with juventus, Inter, Milan, Roma....... Many eyes will see Damar this year. They also want the option to bring him up. This team will fight against relegation this year and if they are out by Christmas or shortly after they want the option of bringing up Damar to Serie A. This will up his market value. Buy low sell high. Sempre Avanti24 points -
