Meh for real.

The only name mentioned worthy would be Bradley,  and Jurgen (even though in the article it says, anyone not named him)

To be fair to the writer, it's tough to determine or draft a list of coaches based on the fact that we don't know the CSA's budget and we don't know what X, Y, Z "candidate" coaches have been paid in the past.

Yea the blog seems new. Not gonna call the list shit or anything harsh. Little stale since a similar list was done back when Floro was sacked but it is good to see bloggers writing about it. Maybe if every Canadian soccer blog and outlet started writing about how Canada really needs a new coach the CSA would feel a little pressured.

Zambrano would certainly tick most people's boxes on this thread: MLS experience, experience in Latin America and speaks good English. The only drawback would be that he has no international coaching experience, but it seems like he'd be a very good fit overall.

But, I thought the CSA was a joke for not hiring a manager before Gold Cup?

The CSA meme is still alive and well despite some of our best organizational years under Big Vic. Filling his shoes is going to be very hard. The perception that the CSA is a "joke" still exists.

Wiki says Zambrano has the second best record in MLS besides Arena. Why did he leave?

If you read the Philly article he started his second season in LA below par (2-3) and so they let him go. With the Red Bulls they missed the playoffs. He has suggested it might have been racial prejudice and the fact that he annoyed a number of soccer people in so-cal by starting his own elite u-19 league.

If it's true that he is coming in now before the Scotland game and has not 2, but 3 camps to prepare before French Guiana ...my level of optimism has went up.

The reality is... no he's not a big name, however he checks off a lot of boxes to what weve talked about that our coach should have (Latin American, MLS experience, etc).

All I hope for is that we get our best available players for this tournamemt, and prepare to attack and score goals. We just can't go another Gold cup without scoring a goal, or playing defend90.
