shamrock
Ricky Gomes now apparently training with MVV Maastricht in Dutch second division. I think it's only training though. But their first keeper is injured and their second one is really bad. And they have practically no money whatsoever.

jordan
Arlind Ferhati moved to Canada when he was 10, now he is 18 and apparently he is playing for Dinamo Tirana in Albania (2nd tier) According to 'google translate' he has a Canadian passport and his family still lives in Canada. Previously, he played in Italy. http://www.shkodrasport.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3412%3A-arlind-ferhati-talenti-shkodran-ne-vemendje-te-vllaznise&catid=56%3Ashkodranet-neper-bote&Itemid=113&lang= I suppose it will take some more digging. i think he maybe represented Albania at some youth level. masster
Not sure if Justin Soscia is still in Italy. Spezia are playing in the famous Viareggio Cup, and he is not listed on that roster, even though he is a 96. http://www.viareggiocup.com/squadre/436-spezia.html?codice=Spezia This seems to say that he played the end of last season in the CSL with the York Shooters: http://sosciasoccer.wix.com/justinsoscia

Barthez-Battalion
So a few people have said Borjan is now playing in Serbia. I am happy he's getting playing time. But the fact there are no clubs in better leagues who want him is baffling. He's a very good goalkeeper. edit: I should correct myself. There's no guarantee this club is signing him as a starter. If he doesn't play that would be another gut punch.

I'm also surprise at the fact he is not playing at a better level but maybe this has to do with Ludogorets letting him go at the last minute when he was supposed to stay with the club. He had very little time to shop for a new club ( good clubs in good league are rarely shopping for a new keeper after January).

tarnado1555362291
17 year old Derek Cornelius, has moved to Germany with his father and has been with VfB Lubeck (Regionalliga). Doesn't look like he has appeared in any matches, due to some type of eligibility issue. http://vfb-luebeck.de/unsere-mannschaft-201415/ http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/regionalliga/startseite/607029/artikel_vfb-holt-kanadischen-juniorennationalspieler.html http://www.derek-cornelius.com/ Apparently FIFA is standing in the way of Cornelius playing for his club because of his age. Seems unfair as he and his father moved to Germany before Lubeck discovered him. http://www.blog-trifft-ball.de/blog/2015/02/derek-cornelius-kanadisches-toptalent-im-leerlauf/

masster
Tyler Rosenlund is no longer with Rochester. He is in training camp with WFC2. http://www.whitecapsfc.com/wfc2/2015/02/wfc2-preseason Mark Anthony Kaye is no longer on loan at Wilmington obviously. He is with TFC2 Follow Mark-Anthony Kaye@MarkThEwizz Another win in the bag, 2-1 win over Florida Gulf Coast...we're buzzing 2 wins in 2 games! #TFC2 Kyle Porter was released from DC United, so he wouldn't be at Richmond anymore. He isn't listed on their website. I guess he can be added to Unattached FC http://www.richmondkickers.com/team/roster/22375_73444062.html Petrasso is still listed at both QPR and Notts County. Should be QPR only as his loan has finished.

weCAN
18 year old Kris Twardek, from Ottawa, signed a pro contract with Millwall. Canada didn’t think he was worth a look at 16 and 17 and he has since played for the Czech U17 national team. Probably not coming back..

Has it not been already established that Twadek and his father were sending game tape to the Czech FA when he was 14 or 15? Before he was on the radar of either Canada or the Czechs? I don't think we can fault the CSA here, this kid always wanted to play elsewhere. Do you have any insight that actually proves he was passed over by the CSA? Edit: why did you bother updating in this thread? You should post all Twardek related news in the Mother of All Defectors Abroad thread.
hamiltonfan
FFA Global, a GTA based community outreach program, has sent several members to Sweden for professional trials. Check out the FFA Global Facebook for some action shots of the Toronto footballers in preseason game/practice action. I don't have a complete list but I am aware of the following at this time; - Claude Dufour-Peters, Aramesika-Syrianska, IF, Division 2 (Tier 4) - Nathan Smith, Husqvarna FF, Division 1 (Tier 3) - Abdallah Elchanti, Boras AIK - a 1-3 players at Dalhem IF

I have read that he did send videos but I never saw it reported that it was that young. Not saying it’s not true. And yes, blame the CSA for showing no interest. It’s not like they weren’t told about him or didn’t get to see him. If the Czechs can see it based on video tapes why can’t the CSA when he’s in their backyard? Or on the same pitch as the coach making the selections? I’m not arguing with you. It’s just frustrating.
