Rendon - end of 3 game FIFA suspension; Ascanio - continuing visa issues :(

Never heard of a FIFA suspension before. I always assumed that domestic suspensions were that, domestic. However, it says "league" which makes me question why it has carried over to the CPL.

rendon is coming in at that position and supposed to be pretty good and the team hasnt had huge injury issues such as york so should be fine

Ascanio and Rendon are roster spots 22 and 23 -- Ohin is still among the 23.  Barker, added for the 1 Canadian Championship game vs Whitecaps, has been the only addition beyond the 23.

again its not necessarily about if theres a spot but first if theres a need, then how much cap space is there and if its enough to bring in a quality player...the way barker was announced it seems he is on a standard contract and taking a spot in the 23...could also not be the case

Barker has been playing for FC Manitoba.

He was only brought in for the Canadian Championship wasn't he? Because Montreal said Sirois couldn't play. As we were knocked out early, Barker was no longer required.

I totally agree with your logic though, if Ohin isn't going to play this season, someone else needs to be brought in, even if it is someone like Tomy. Regardless of whether or not there is a need, running the risk of a player getting injured close to a game and having no replacement is crazy, especially after the start we have had. One big injury could totally derail the form we are just starting to hit.

Would be shocked if cap space were an issue.
