Bison44
Jeepers, he went to Montreal, he didnt die!! Maybe Morgan can help in CCL prep phases. Does anyone remember him, he is a local product that plays LB/LM and had a 100% shot to goal ratio last year.
Jith12
So we draw Colorado for the round of 16. If we progress it is likely Tigres then Club America. Tough draw. https://www.wakingthered.com/toronto-fc/2017/12/18/16793540/toronto-fc-colorado-rapids-concacaf-champions-league
Gian-Luca
TFC's first league home game will be March 3rd against Columbus - the home and season opener in fact. Too soon, I'm not yet finished celebrating the 2017 season yet!
Gian-Luca
Cheyrou has officially announced his retirement but will stay with the club as an academy coach. His last action as a player was the interception leading to the insurance goal in the Cup final. Not a bad way to end a career

jordan
So this was announced earlier this year, but then Mjallby AIF announced he is signing a 2 year deal with them the other week. But TFC have yet to communicate anything. Wonder if there is a fee involved or a future transfer fee add in. http://www.maif.se/nyheter/?ID=105037&NID=393533
Jith12
I was just looking at FiveThirtyEight's world club rankings and we are an impressive 185th. That is above Cruz Azul (199) and Guadalajara (271) of Mexico and Aston Villa (206), Middlesbrough (218) and Cardiff (220) of the Championship. That is very good for an MLS team that has to deal with salary caps.

It has Arsenal at 11th from what I am seeing. It is probably referring to one of these many other clubs called Arsenal. It is ridiculous the number of teams that are named Arsenal. They really need to become more original.

Missed the top Arsenal! I guess the lesson here is to not get excited if you are being scouted by Arsenal!

Obinna
Great progress with Delgado and Bono getting an opportunity to become American internationals. It's not hard to imagine Zavaletta getting a chance next.
harrycoyster
TFC was added to the USSDA standings page at the u16/17 and u18/19 age groups this week. Probably means TFC is joining the USSDA.

jpg75
I think Beita was making 240K last season...definitely money better spent elsewhere - not that he was bad, just not worth the money.

On TFC he would be able to use his offensive skill while learning more of the LB position if that is where his career is taking him.

Right now, as a whole bunch of Canadian players get signed by the other Canadian MLS teams, there are just 18 players listed on the TFC senior roster. harrycoyster
TFC among the MLS and Liga MX teams interested in American international striker Rubio Rubin. Hasn't been able to stay healthy or start regularly at the pro level, but was a dominant u20 player in CONCACAF competition.
Gian-Luca
As reported elsewhere, it looks like Cooper will be a teammate of Juan Cordova in Chile. While Zavaleta is about to re-sign, I don't understand why Endoh is being invited back......he's on an international spot and had been on the league minimum before they declined his option, I don't see how they can sign him for less than the minimum. http://torontosun.com/sports/soccer/mls/toronto-fc/toronto-fc-eriq-zavaleta-closing-in-on-new-contract-endoh-expected-to-join-reds-for-preseason I suppose that with Cooper going and Cheyrou gone, it is (until they use TAM to sign another midfielder that is) good news for Chapman's playing time prospects. Also rumblings from Larson that more kids from the youth system will get a shot to sign for the first team (I am guessing Uccello or Fraser maybe have the best shot?)
