NEW Mother of all Canadians Abroad

I think this is a good move for him. Magdeburg is a fairly big club with a great history and strong fanbase. Much bigger club than Aalen who will be playing in the same division this year. 3rd Bundesliga is probably halfway between MLS and NASL level, ie. not as good as MLS but better than NASL. This is a team with potential to promote and he should be a starter so even if they don't promote if he looks good he could transfer. I think this is a better place for him to play than Sweden. Players have to play and better to play on a 3rd division team with ambition than a small 2nd division team always trying not to get relegated.

It's a step down considering the level of play. But, he played his first home-game in front of 21000 fans. Not too shabby for a third division (and yes I do realize he will be playing in front of a couple of hundreds against Stuttgart 2. But still beats his former club Aalen big time on fan support. They had 4772 watching last weekend).

A few additions.

Denmark

Evan James - Marienlyst (Danish 2nd Division Group 2) (3)

Germany

Haris Kevac - Eintracht Nordstedt (German Regionalliga Nord) (4)

Poland

Dominic Szyszka - Wigry Suwalki (Polish 1 Liga) (2)

Yea Haris had been on trial there already in June, but only just received his work permit! Looks like Dominic has been with that Polish side for a while, we just didn't know?

Any clue what Evan James has been doing the last three years? Transfermarkt says no club...

League 1 Ontario, pretty sure...

Great news: Felix Clapin-Girard has signed with Granada CF. He will play with their U19 team and also train with their second senior team, which plays in the 3rd tier (Segunda B Group 4).

Great move for the kid, after his team in Barcelona actually relegated. His performances here were not that notable, but the fact that Fundación Marcet got him the trial was worth it for him, clearly.

Their U-19 A team is in the top division, Honor, and the B team of the U-19s is in the next Nacional. Granada has deep pockets same owners as Udinense.

In the second article it ends with:

"On peut déjà imaginer la scène. Pénalty pour le FC Barcelone. Messi qui le prend. Clapin-Girard devant le filet pour Grenada. Juste à cette pensée, le portier qui a fait ses preuves sur les terrains de l'Outaouais en a des frissons dans le dos."

Thing is, with Messi missing 20% of all penalties taken, I'd get a chill up my spine too.

U-20 Roster...players listed as foreign.

Moved Kreitling to Sprockhovel.

Yuri Ruh Dos Santos does not show up on any rosters on Trencin's homepage...

http://www.surinenglish.com/20150522/news/sport/marbella-teenager-makes-football-201505221731.html

Proof he is there, at least, but yeah not sure if it's U-19 U-17 or what...great to see him getting into Canada system though.  Apparently has youtube vids kicking around and such.  Not adding him to U-19 until further confirmation, as if he's U-17 he doesn't qualify for the list...again their webpage for U-19 OR U-17 doesn't even list him on their roster.

Ok, about Simmons being at MK Dons...can't find him anywhere on their website except here, where they appear to be releasing him, and this was over a year ago.

So yeah seems odd that Canadasoccer lists him as MK Dons at this point

I haven't been able to find anything about Yuri in Slovak. I checked the match reports for the U19 and U17 leagues and I couldn't find anything.   After I thought he could be with the B team, but it doesn't seem that Trencin has a B team.

One poster said that it is good that Trencin can buy and sell players in secret, which I am sure he said with some sarcasm.

I might have been the only one to miss but Tomori signed a professional contract with Chelsea in July and is a starter with their U21s. Surely this should get us more excited than USL players and MLS benchwarmers, no?

He was singled out for a big performance Aug. 9 vs Liverpool's U21s here: http://www.chelseafc...-1-chelsea.html

Did we mention he is RB?

In all honesty, has he expressed any interest in Canada? Have we confirmed CSA contact, even?

EDIT: Did we mention he is RB?

EDIT: Never mind, I see he has been at Chelsea since age 8 - Surely in order of priority it's England, Nigeria, any other country he can manage to find even the loosest affiliation to in his family tree, and then Canada. If we get this guy in a Canada kit it's at age 24 and because he is playing for Scunthorpe, IMO. Nothing to see here. Move along.

EDIT: Did we mention he is RB?

Was actually trying to figure this out too. Trying to find any kind quote of him saying what his intentions were internationally. He is considered as a Nigerian Footballer with English nationally in the UK. We may get Hargreaved again.
