red card
Even though, the women's union lawsuit included a notice not to use players NIL as of February 1st, the 2 sponsors who use women's NIL are still showing their ads during the W Gold Cup broadcasts. And yesterday, there was a sponsored Canada Soccer X posting featuring certain players. Edited March 6 by red card
sloth8
Looks like it is going to be a rainy one tonight in San Diego. Let's hope they can convert some of those set-pieces!
Cadeau
Wheeler said Canwnt are 0 wins 1 draw and 20 losses vs uswnt in the USA! Will tonight be historic?

I think that was in their last 21 games, not all time. I think he said the last win in USA against USA was in the year 2000. Still a terrible record. But he made a post about already having had conversations with Mauro Biello about the #CanMNT coaching situation. He also studied in California so maybe he has friend in the state he wants to visit. I assume he wants to talk in person with Priestman and with the players.
Treppy2
2-0 for Brazil at halftime in the other semi-final, with 12 shots to 2. Mexico received a red card and is down to 10 players. Brazil is virtually in the final.

jonovision
Admittedly I don't follow the women's teams that closely, but I only recognize 3 or 4 of those USA names. narduch
jonovision
Also this is way more ridiculous than the snow game that Cherundolo was complaining about. narduch, Mihairokov and Cheeta

Cheeta
Ridiculous. Take a breather, see if the field drains some.
Kent
Reminds me of the men's game against Honduras in Nations League. I've already seen one player (was it Lawrence?) smart enough to flick the ball up to another player, but then that back pass attempt through seemingly the deepest puddle on the field was very naive. We are going to have to be smart and adapt to the conditions if we are going to have any chance. narduch and Olympique_de_Marseille
Mihairokov
Surprised they're playing in these conditions. Worst water-logging i've seen in a while. Gian-Luca
Cheeta
How fuking stupid do you got to be to try dribbling the ball ON THAT. Fu'k...
gwsmith63
Ridiculous to have these ladies play in this. Totally farcical and an injury is imminent. Cheeta
Kent
On the plus side, we are definitely the underdogs in this game. Conditions like this are an equalizer. Us fans can complain about the field, but the players would be wise to just get on with it and leave that decision to the officials. No sense in them complaining and making excuses, preparing themselves to be OK with losing because it's not a real soccer game.

jonovision
Why would you ever pass back in these conditions? They've done it 3 or 4 times already. gwsmith63
