red card
What a front row! Better than being in Mexico for Ashley Lawrence. Note Mbappe checking on Lewandoski's reaction since he should have really won. Ballon d'Or still clueless about the women's game as ceremony took place during women's national teams window - so many players had to pass on attending. red card
Hassoun Camara took a trip to France for a bunch of interviews including with Jonathan David (see his thread) and here with Ashley Lawrence. Camara takes a different approach vs a traditional Canadian sports journalist. And Lawrence's French has gone from 0 to 60 (though her accent is hard on the ears). Bison44
Sorry to highjack the thread, but is Camara mainly in Quebec these days?? Since Miller has shaved his head when I seem him for montreal i always have flashbacks to Camara, big mobile defenders. Nice to see the CDN ladies getting press!! BearcatSA
Is Camara only freelance or does he also work with RDS or Radio-Canada? I like his vibe.
Unnamed Trialist
Interesting interview with her yesterday in Mundo Deportivo. You can do a Google translate, but she speaks of her semi-final match, and of the model at Barça. https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/femenino/20220429/1001795335/ashey-lawrence.html

red card
She has told PSG she won't renew her contract. Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern & San Diego are potential landing sites. She has been with PSG since 2017, played 165 matches and scored 11 goals. Apparently, she doesn't have best of relationship with current manager Precheur. Article also says Lawrence is a strong, experienced personality, appreciated by the Parisian locker room and its executives. red card
Chelsea could have 3 Canadians next season. They beat out Real Madrid & Bayern for a 3 year deal with Lawrence. Free transfer as Lawrence's contract has expired. Lawrence likely replaces Magdalena Eriksson who is leaving along with her partner Harder. Chelsea are looking to add Macario who could replace Harder. Norrin Radd

red card
Lawrence drifts more inside with Chelsea than seen with Canada. She also neutralized Caicedo today ex 1 run. Match ended 2-2. Fleming picked up a hockey assist but also gave away penalty that levelled the match. Though, foul happened just outside the box. Buchanan didn't play. A true Champions League type of match including a couple of ref errors that couldn't be changed since no VAR.
