Musk is a dickwad hypocrit who funds anti science republicans while acting like the biggest champion of science and hero to saving the environment.

I think that grossly oversimplifies things.

Musk was publicly critical of Trump in the build up to the election, has made roughly equal political donations to both political parties (very slightly favouring the Democrats), and I suspect is simply making himself available to Trump to advance Space X's commercial interests.  Trump is a big private sector guy, and hisn government may make significant steps to advance further privatization of public functions.  Musk's company is uniquely positioned to benefit from NASA's lack of launch capacity, so he is doing what any businessman would do.  Portraying that as some sort of Repub cheerleading function seems to miss the mark - at least IMO.

His hypocracy goes beyond science. Also look into who he gives money to beyond party.

We can now return to our regularly scheduled programming of Totera bashing, frantic non-announcements, and debating TFCII's participation in BBTB's MLS feeder league.

Don't forget the old school wrestling talk!

Patience everyone. Stressing out about the timing won't make it come any faster. These are big decisions being made at high levels. When it happens, it will happen.

Catching up on the past few pages:

I told you guys the MLS teams are trying to project their markets into the CanPL, and the CSA. Luckily it sounds like the CSA is having none of it.

As for MLS and what they got right, if you're gunna decide a game on penalties, do the run up timed penalties that MLS did for a couple years. I hate the "real" penalties.

If those are the kinds of articles you are basing your opinion on, I think you are mistaken.  Yes, Musk accepted a request from the POTUS to advise him on economic matters.  But the US - Musk's main client and country of business - is under Trump's rule for 4 years.  At this point people might as well make the most of a bad situation.  As for the political donations, he is doing what the vast majority of elite business people do - they make tax deductible political donations to a range of political parties and politicians so that whoever gets elected knows they are a "team player".  The most damning thing that your cited article actually says is that he started donating equally to both parties.  And with the lines of business he is in, including large scale infrastructure and taxi for NASA, maintaining a good relationship with any administration is pretty common sense.

I think it would be silly to dismiss all of the great things he is doing on the basis of pretty understandable behaviour for a guy that has billions of dollars at stake.

Agree hyperloop looks very dubious and I'll also believe he can send people around the moon when I see it happening, but his Tesla motors company, the massive Li ion battery plant in Nevada and his interest in solar roofs is arguably doing more to move the economy away from fossil fuels than the climate change lobby has achieved to date, precisely because he is working inside the parameters of the capitalist system. Beyond that given he is a Canadian billionaire (mother from Saskatchewan?) I would have thought he is precisely the kind of person you would want to squander some of his ill-gotten gains on a pro soccer franchise.

Not dismissing him simply calling him a dickwad and a hypocrite. He's done some very impressive things and a great deal of charity work but he's far from this perfect green god he likes to act like and others pretend (SIMPSONS DID IT) he is. For me, his image plus his actions make him on a level of dick on par with Zuckerberg (who does similar shit). Everyone is a hypocrite but it takes a special kind of hypocrite to do it and protect their image the way he does.

Agree to disagree I guess.  What you consider hypocracy and dickwadedness, I simply consider non-self-destructive business practice.  Put another way, if the US Government is your primary client and source of revenue, telling the President to go fuck himself on the basis of an eco-moral stance seems a bit shortsighted.  Plus, I still happen to think that you can have a far more positive impact working within the system than from within a drum circle.

Southampton getting involved with the OSA in some way.

Cue wild speculation regarding @matty's theory

Edit: it's from 2 academy coaches from southampton presenting at the Ontario soccer summit.

OMG More proof I'm psychic! Between this and the time I guessed Rachel McAdams would be at the Raptors game I went to in 2012 it's becoming pretty clear I should have my own TV show to con people out of moneys that I can then use to found my own CPL club based in Flin Flon that wears hot pink jerseys produced by Canterbury of NZ with sponsorship from PornHub and a picture of Mastershake with a keytar on the crest.

Where did I saw he needs to be some hippie around a drum circle? Drum circles do shit all. Musk's joining of Trump is as you like to point out, his own gain and will likely have less to do with impacting policy to make the Earth better. Then again not shocking because he wants to leave this planet.

He's likely going to use whatever political power he gains to fuck with other entrepreneurs because again he's a dickwad.

Anyways on somethign BBTB asked earlier. If Musk wanted to own a CPL team then sure let him have at it.

I'd probably buy that jersey. Not tuning in to your TV-show though. My psychic powers tell me it'll flop, unless you sell it as a Christian Psychic TV-show to the states. Then you'll do fantastic, but I still wouldn't watch it. ;)
