Canada v. Jamaica: Seating Chart

Recommended Posts

Just got back from TFC-Independiente. I picked up a box with more than 700 tickets in it....that was a wierd feeling...

I spoke to my contact at BMO who has been helping me with ticket buying.

yes, 101-103 are on sale. they are very small sections so hurry up before they are gone.

227 is now sold out. Oakville SC bought a big chunk of tickets up there (good work Oakville) so that's one more pro-canada section filled. North Mississauga SC has purchased an even bigger chunk in 226. There are only about 4 or 5 rows of seats left in 226 now. Those are the last seats available in designated Pro-Canada sections at the lowest ticket price. There is a group from Ottawa coming down for the game that I am going to try to get up in 226 so by the end of the week, I expect 226 to be sold out.

My BMO Field contact has told me that although 219, 220 and 221 are designated as away support sections, they are now open to be purchased by anyone. 219 and 220 are also available at the cheapest ticket price. Once 226, 101, 102 and 103 sell out (likely by this week), we should start populating 219 and 220. Let's make the Jamaican sections full of Red and White. That's where I'm going to focus my attention on next when I approach local clubs to buy large chunks of tickets.

Overall, sales are going well. I'll be flyering pre-game on Saturday to help spread the word to those fans (and you would be shocked how many there are) that have no idea that Canada v. Jamaica is happening. I saw no posters at BMO for this game. People asked me what was in the box...when I told them it was tickets for the WCQ match, they inevitably said "there's a WCQ coming up".

The CSA MUST start the marketing campaign next week latest....it doesn't have to be a full force blitz yet but the time is now. Toronto is hosting the MLS All Star game next week and there will be alot of media attention on soccer in the Toronto media next week...take advantage when the media types are actually paying attention to our sport. that's marketing 101.

^ I dont think it's necessarily a case of the jamaicans having trouble filling sections. I think the CSA allocated too many sections to them.

let's fill up those away sections with loud and proud Canadian support. But first, lets sell out 106-109. Despite what some have been told, those sections are not sold out. If anyone wants tickets in those sections (I got 20 in 108 tonight for a friend of mine) and you are told its sold out, let me know by email. I'll be happy to get you in touch with the right people.

Hey folks,

I'm new to all this and more than a little confused about the ticket situation for the Jamaica game in August, my understanding being that some of you guys bought blocks of tickets for Canadian supporters. If that is indeed the case, there'd most likely be between 3 and 6 of us heading down from Montréal for the game and we'd would be willing to buy our tickets off of somebody who's gone through the trouble of picking them up for the purpose. If not, perhaps a recommendation of what section to most strategically get our seats in might be helpful as I've never been to BMO.

Anyhoo, I'll be more than happy to get on board for any other qualifiers that'll be going on east of Ontario in the run up to 2010 if there's to be a meeting point before and/or after the game on the 20th at a bar or something. I might be a good luck charm, my only Canada international up to now having been the Honduras game at George the 5th in St John's that got us through in '86. Keep us posted.

If you can get tickets from V's how bought extras, do it....great idea.

If none are available, buy in Section 101, 102 or 103. You will need to get the code for that. Email Cheeta.

Alternatively, buy tickets in Section 226. that's the last guaranteed pro-Canada section available at the lowest ticket price.

if you are willing to spend $45.00-50.00 per ticket, there are a ton of great seats at midfield. those ticket should not need a special code.

hope that helps

I have never posted before but I wanted to let you know I bought 20 tickets in section 110 if someone is keeping tally. I can guarantee you everyone sitting (standing) in these seats will be supporting Canada. We will be in Section 110 Row 15,16 Seats 1-10. I am a little worried now that we will be surrounded by Jamaicans since nobody has posted anything about this section other then it's sold out.

Cheers,

Michael

Welcome! You will not see many with section 110 seats in here because it is not one of the official V sections. Don't worry, it will still be very Canadian.

Go lurk on the Red Patch Boys forums for threads on this game. The RPBs are a big TFC supporters group. Although their "spiritual home" is 112, it is an undersized section and U-Sector is in 113, so the RPBs flow into 111 and also 110. Don't worry, you will be in good company.

Hey mon,

u wit dem Jay-may-cons mon? u git stabbed! [xx(]

If the metal detectors are working properly, then the only contact you will get is a contact high from all the second-hand pot smoke those Rastafarian bastards will be bringing with them. ;)

BTW, I actually like Jamaicans - just not on August 20th.
