In the Carribean Cup, Cavalier of Jamaica and Moca of Domenican Republic advanced to the semis.

Jamaica will have at least one team in the Champions Cup, as Harbour View drew Cavalier in one semi-final.  Moca of Dominican Republic vs Robinhood of Suriname in the other.  Ideally, I'd like the loser of that match to win the 3rd place game, so there's 3 countries represented rather than 2 Jamaican sides.

With Forge though to the CPL final, a win by Cavalry over Pacific in the semi would solidify Forge's qualification.

The only way Pacific can make the CCC is to win the CPL playoffs outright

Concacaf makes smaller clubs play in their national stadiums all the time.

Could Cavalry be force to play at a neutral venue? BC Place maybe?

Both options would be horrible for the team and fan base imo.

I'm sure they would love to use the cold advantage... But just not sure there is a field option. Maybe McMahon - it's field turf which makes it easier to manage.

If Columbus can host in February, Calgary should be able to host in February. If the stadium isn't yet equipped to do so, they should get on that, as should every CPL team.

They might be able to do it on 3G turf somewhere else in the city if there is a facility CONCACAF would sanction for it but a game in February in Calgary on grass that has no undersoil heating as is the case at ATCO Field is exceedingly unlikely.

Cavalry are planning for CONCACAF games to be at Spruce Meadows. Federation officials were there a few weeks ago checking out the venue and they've revised their offseason plans for the grass to accommodate.

Although it starts on February 6th, I see that they have 4 weeks for the first round. So I guess that means the Canadian teams could potentially be hosting in late February instead of early February. It's not much, but it's something.

Hopefully we actually host them outdoors in cold weather in February and get some results, so that maybe they will make it start later in the year in future editions of the competition.

There is also a scenario where if Vancouver wins MLS Cup, Montreal would qualify for CCC.

I am also interested to see if making the Carribean or Central American Cup finals would give a team enough of a boost to be seeded in the Preliminary round draw.
