Grizzly
Not the best time for match viewing but if Grizzly can get his lazy night owl ass out of bed for this surely others can do likewise or take a long lunch from work. Let's arrange some viewing parties for this match and get a few people out at all the bars to watch the game! Armenia vs. Canada Wednesday, February 29th Time: 11:30AM EST/8:30AM PST (I think kick-off is at 12 but coverage starts at 11:30) TV Coverage: Sportsnet One The following is a list of gathering places for Voyageurs to view the game (details to be added to this post as they are received). Calgary - Edmonton - Halifax - Kingston - Montreal - Cafe Frappe (confirmed) http://www.barstlaurentfrappe.com/contact.htm Ottawa - Grace O'Malley's (east) (confirmed) http://www.gracies.ca/contact.aspx#east Quebec City - Regina - Saskatoon - St. John's - Toronto - Duke of Gloucester (649 Yonge St.) (confirmed) http://www.dukeofgloucester.net Vancouver - Victoria - Winnipeg -Elephant and Castle, 350 St. Mary Ave. at Hargrave at 10:30am (confirmed) http://www.elephantcastle.com/winnipeg/contact *confirmation requires a Voyageur to call the establishment to confirm that they will be showing the game and that they can accommodate X number of fans. Tuscan
Tough one to do anything for. I'll have the stream on at work, but other than that, and unless someone else from here can set it up, there won't be anything happening in Saskatoon this time. Admin
I know there was some contention about going to the Duke last time... Name one bar in Canada that has a signed Canadian jersey on the wall, in fact they must have more Canada soccer stuff on the walls than all other bars in the country combined. nfitz
Duke sounds good. Good timing as well to take a long lunch! I assume that there's something there on the menu at mid-day on a weekday ...
Grizzly
Yeah... little reluctant to try and play this up. Also if anyone is organizing a party, please don't promise anything unrealistic so we are not burning bridges. You shouldn't be playing it down either. The bars mentioned are confirmed and will show the game so those wanting to watch it show feel free to show up to watch. Particularly advantageous is that all the other interesting friendlies on Wednesday start after our game so there is no conflict potential. Apparently you are blind because I just checked Sportsnet TV Schedule on their website and it's still there. Listed on Sportsnet ONE at 1130am EST. BuzzAndSting
He might be talking about his television guide. Mine doesn't list it either. It's still listing tennis He said "on Snet schedule" so I assumed he wasn't talking about his on TV guide. Either way Rogers in Ontario has the right info and as other people have already stated cable service guides are made long in advance so they're not always accurate. Trust Sportsnet's schedule, the game will be on.

Wish I could be at Gracie's too but am stuck in a meeting in Toronto all day. And my hotel is a 10 min walk from the Duke of Gloucester. Anyone know if it'll be replayed tonight?
