    • Tomorrow's home game against Portland is the first time in a long time that the MLS website odds have TFC as the favourite. Kaye is listed as "questionable" instead of "out" on the league injury report.  Maybe we could see him start to ease back into the lineup?
    • Earlier this month the Guatemala U17s travelled to L.A. to face LAFC's U17s & LAFC's U19s. Guatemala will host Honduras and Costa Rica for a prep camp for their U17s later this month. Central American nations will also have a friendly U17 tournament in October. https://www.espn.com.mx/futbol/guatemala/nota/_/id/10700760/seleccion-sub-17-campamento-fogueos-honduras-costa-rica These teams will be really ready for qualifiers in early 2023! 😤
    • MLS investigation basically states the Caps acted appropriately. Second MLS team this year to be largely cleared of similar misconduct. Only 15 pages. Looks like the blame is largely being placed on the investigator that was hired.   "We had significant concerns with the investigations themselves. We found them to have been superficial and lacking in depth. They appeared to have been rushed and limited in the number of individuals interviewed."  "In fairness, we did not think that the concerns with the investigations could be attributed to the Whitecaps, given that they stemmed from the decisions of the investigator, upon whom the Whitecaps heavily relied for direction." "Given the investigator’s apparent expertise and the Whitecaps’ lack of it on these matters, it was our view that the Whitecaps’ reliance on the investigator was reasonable in the circumstances."
    • For me it isn’t just about the perceived level.  JD can’t be oblivious to the fact that Lille play (or at least have played) a brand of soccer that doesn’t match his strengths.   A team that is more fluid and incisive in its passing would create better and more opportunities for a guy like David, and thus on his continued development.  I am no expert on the playing style of every one of those teams, but I suspect at least a few of them would give him a greater platform for success than the Lille team we have endured for the last two seasons with Bamba wasting chances whenever he gets within shooting range, and Yilmaz finding JD less and less as time went on.    IMO another intermediary step before the final big move wouldn’t be a waste.
