jonovision
Thank you Marc dos Santos for shaming the competition by playing a training squad in such an important match (for one team).
JamesW
Montreal has been awful... I'd hate to be the Vancouver coach right now. Travel all that way just to watch this crap.
nolbertos
Sad to say, but honestly...this Voyageur's Cup will be tainted if Toronto wins it. Just saw the 5th goal, but WTF...if Montreal isn't even going to try to play, might as well just give TFC the trophy. If I were the Whitecaps, I would complain, not that it would matter if Toronto won, but at least make the teams, who are eliminated to put there best squad out or at least the intent to play. Congrats to Toronto. They had to do what they have to do, but this Voyageurs Cup will be tainted. Edit: Have a FIFA official in attendance, when a meaningless match is being played, like they have in CONMEBOL, to make sure the team isn't "throwing" the game away on purpose. Tintin
The Impact showed up for this just as well as their fans did. Empty stadium, empty defending.
BringBackTheBlizzard
And people gave me a hard time for discussing this possibility on another thread. [:0] The moment Dos Santos made those statements I knew TFC had a good chance. Not over yet though obviously.

(I should put "home of the 2009 Voyageurs' Cup runner ups" under my name). 6!? Piss off Montreal.

Scottie
Congratulations Montreal. Two of the greatest chokes in canadian soccer history in the same year. Way to defend the title. 1 goal in the entire tournament and it was a penalty. Way to play like bitches.
mtlfan
I am officialy resigning as a Montreal fan. I will be cheering for any team but the Impact. I hold Joey Saputo And Nick Desantis responsible. This is a disgrace.
nolbertos
I never would've though that Montreal would pull a "Peru" like in 1978 World Cup, when Argentina needed 4 goals to qualify and got more than they bargained for. Shameful, honestly.

nolbertos
If your truly an Impact Supporter, like they did in Peru. In the next USL game, throw beer bottles and anything at the players and coaching staff, and sign a petition to fire the coach or tell the owner you won't renew your season tickets, to send them a message to never forget that shameful display. I thought Canada had hit a new low, but this takes the cake. I can just imagine TT and Lenarduzzi thinking "WTF just occured here."
CoachRich
I can hardly wait to have the Impact in Swannie looking at a bunch of rabid Caps fans. Going to be ugly at the Southend. Really sad day for the game :-(
