(If he is just a permanent resident and doesn't actually have Canadian citizenship, then I'm not 100% sure if he would be eligible for us in the future) https://www.uefa.com/under19/news/027d-17276508ed76-3b52aa3001c5-1000--2023-24-u19-qualifying-round-groups/ Edited August 22 by Olympique_de_Marseille sebdeserio, DeRo_Is_King and Borjans Sweatpants 1 1

It’s a win-win for the player and the club. It’s not their problem that Canada doesn’t offer enough youth camps. To me it seems more likely that he’s just opportunistic and will probably switch to Canada sooner than later if he’s a good prospect.

I think in the long term Moldova doesn't have great prospects but we have lost good players to weaker teams (Vaikla to Estonia, Yankov to currently weak Bulgaria). I just have less faith than you do that he will file his switch away from Moldova within a month of playing for them. With a good shot at their U21s, there is just so much more youth football to be had with them. Olympique_de_Marseille
Another full match for Moldova today: https://www.uefa.com/under19/match/2037033--georgia-vs-moldova/ Took at least one free kick and received a yellow card.
