DJT
Guidelines for this threadIn this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for October 3-9, 2014. If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. king1010
good for simeon. does anyone know why he or atiba aren't on the roster for colombia? im assuming they'll be there for panama as Floro wants to simulate a central america WCQ
Lord Bob
Listened to Charlton - Birmingham. Edgar went 90 for Birmingham, seemed to do okay, mostly when his name was called it was for a rough challenge (he sent Jordan Cousins off on a stretcher). Charlton's goal was on an unmarked header by a forward, so probably one of the centre backs' fault but they didn't say which.

king1010
Bulgaria 1st half Ludogorets 0 : 0 Slavia Sofia Borjan is starting for Ludogorets in league play. Well thats a pleasant surprise. I wonder why hes starting after the other keeper had such a strong showing in the champs league. I wonder what happens in january when his contract is up. madmonte
Not to alarm anyone but Daniel Milton cracked the bench for Blackpool yesterday in The Championship, as backup keeper, at least according to soccerway. Congrats to the 17 year old lad!

Congrats to the 17 year old lad! His twitter confirms it. Not someone I had previously considered but it would be great for our keeper pool to see him start getting some minutes. Congrats to the 17 year old lad! He's only there because the starter couldn't play because of his loan agreement. Good to see that he's the best at their reserve team. Blackdude
Sure, rain on his parade...he was pretty excited about it, and now you give him crocodile tears :.( I'm excited that he was on the bench l, because it means that he's next on the depth chart, but in 2 months, I won't be disappointed that he hasn't made the bench since. shamrock
If they're high on him at Blackpool, they should send him out on a loan deal. Although 17 is vey young for a goalkeeper.

aloyol
Bulgaria Ludogorets 0 - 0 Slavia Sofia Borjan started for Ludogorets in league play and earned a clean sheet. Highlights of the game: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BrS0OUEqYZM Borjan was solid (apart for giving a IFK for picking a back pass with his hands ....which he saved nicely)
king1010
wow that indirect free kick was ridiculous. Milan came out like a madman. he made a nice stop on a break away at 1:40 as well. his shot stopping abilities are excellent. He just needs to work on the mental side of the game and a bit on aerial balls.

shamrock
Ben Fisk played 56 minutes for Coruxo. They lost 0-1 to Real Murcia. Legerwood came on a s sub for Energy Cottbus in the second half (45th minute). He couldn't help prevent a 0-3 loss at Fortuna Koeln.\ In Finland, in the last round of the Ykkonen, Monsalve and Oppong both played 90 minutes for Oulo. They won again and are placed 4th, with only 3 points behind the Champions (!). Too bad they had such a weak start of the season. Jamar Dixon also got 90 minutes for Jippo. They finished 9th and are relegated.
king1010
I'd rather we stop calling him up. right because we have such an abundance of talent at the striker position. Simeon scores in league 1 this weekend. Screw it we dont need him. Cavallani scores in Uruguay this weekend. Screw it we dont need him. Who the hell are we going to start at striker then? Who else is scoring goals in league play? Ricketts? Larin an NCAA player? You must be one of those who thinks we dont need Will Johnson either right? Jackson has never been good for Canada, he nnver sticks at one club and players like him and Haber who are barely "decent" in league one won't make us better in Concacaf. Yea but the thing is who else are we gonna play? Are we going 4-6-0? We don't have enough talent at that position to ignore players like that.
