Any updated list for the camp in L.A. which starts this week, February 23rd, Wednesday? Been searching around for some names on the invited list but cant confirm.

Also trying to confirm what games we will be playing. Looks like a 10 day camp with some European content included.

So, can we presume Sidra didn't make TFC?

Says a lot that guys like REB and Gaudet continue to make this squad even though nothing the slightest bit promising is happening for either club-wise, nor has for more than a year.

How deep is our midfield at this age group, I wonder?

We are still over a year from qualifying its good to get all these new names in for a look we are obviously missing guys like Attakora, Straith, Haber, Lam, Gyorio, Stillo who we can hopefully get for qualifying if their clubs let them (more worried about the euro based guys and even Lam if he stays in Japan).

Anyone with info on the new names?

Adrian Stefan Pena, 6'0'' Striker, played with Portugal FC (CSL) and York University (CIS Championship MVP)

Taylor Lord, while not a new name, appears to be with SV Morlautern 1912 in Germany, looks to be in the 7th tier (Südwestdeutscher Fußballverband - Bezirksliga)

He played with Portugal FC last year, I'd describe him as a hardworking and ambitious player (takes risks but usually does pretty well with it), I'm not so sure if he's 6 feet tall though (I thought he was shorter then me but I could be wrong)

Jarek Whiteman's another TFC Academy to North York Astros to Portugal FC player

edit:

I could be wrong but I found a 'Taylor Lord' for the Serbian White Eagles

I hope that when the squad is chosen , guys like Agourram and Cosette won't be looked over......I certainly hope the reason they are not there is because they are in camp with the Impact ......

I would find it hard to believe that guys with no team or from amateur leagues would get chosen over professional players .....

Agourram has been in the camps before, has Cossette? Agourram I'd say is a lock for the team, just as Attakora is.

Its in the news release that we play Chivas USA and L.A. Galaxy - Apparently Beckham will be back by end of February. What a Bonus for the lads to play against these 2 teams with players that have such international experience.

If the USA u18s can draw Vancouver we should expect a competitive match there is no excuse for being blown out like the U20s were by DC United.

Agreed completely! I know most of the lads at the camp and I'd say we have a great group in total. Certain names have always been hyped and always in the news, but if the job wasnt getting down, then we have to try different combinations of players. And face it, the job wasnt getting done.

Now Lets Get Busy!

Just a reminder, from Wikipedia, of the competitve goals for our Olympic team:

-----------

The 2012 CONCACAF Men Pre-Olympic Tournament will be an association football competition to determine the two participants at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [1]

[edit] QualificationThere will be a qualification held to determine the two qualifiers from the Caribbean and three from Central America who will join Canada, Mexico and the United States at the final tournament.

[edit] Final tournamentCanada, Mexico and the United States will be joined by five qualifiers and play-out the two teams who will qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics. It was announced on January 17, 2011 that the United States will host the event in March 2012.[2]

Any news on the Camp thus far; who has impressed in different areas, tactical, fitness, technical ability, surprises, overall? Photos? Were not getting much from the Canada Soccer website.
