JohnnyCanuck
^ Dobson wasn't doing that game. Forrest and Dobson did Edm-TFC. It was Craig MacEwen doing the game... he's shocking. He's usually a Canucks reporter-guy for RSN Pacific. His lack of footy knowledge is astounding... almost as bad as Nashy's ability to broadcast. Nash = Knowedlge but horrible at broadcasting CMac= Good Broadcaster but horrible lack of knoweldge. a match made in football watchers hell. :/

Talks way too much and is like Dobson where he doesn't know who anyone is. your right about Nash though. Anyways back on topic. Vagenas added and Harris has surgery. Drew Shaw
Peter Vagenas Pronunciation: Va-yeah-NOSS Position: Midfielder Height: 5-08 Weight: 157 I love how the Caps felt obliged to put a pronunciation in the release Maybe someone should do that for the announcers who kept calling Gerba instead of Zerba like he pronounces it last night. Maybe someone should do that for everyone in the Vancouver media who can't pronounce TT's name.
Richard
The Whitecaps routinely put phonetic pronunciations in the media handout at home games and promptly respond to any request for clarification. There really is no excuse for anybody in the media getting pronunciation wrong. Nothing but poor preparation for the broadcast.

If I was a sports broadcaster, I'd take the time to learn something about baseball and other sports I currently know little about. Getting paid to learn about sports - how tough a gig is that? MM2
The first amount is the base salary which seems to be the salary that counts against the salary cap (but with MLS you can never be sure) the 2nd amount includes any signing bonus (prorated over the life of the contract) and other incentives. Because MLS has the final say on all contracts this prevents clubs from front loading contracts with a signing bonus. Generation Adidas players usually have the largest discrepancy between the two listed salaries.
StartingEleven
Salinas worth twice that easy! I think Dunfield got paid big last year so as to keep the cap hit down this year. True, and so did Rochat and Chiumiento, I'm not so sure about other players but it would make sense as those two at least could still find work in Europe for more money than what they get in MLS. TheKottonmouthed1555362307
So with Ji-Sung Park, thinking of moving from Old Trafford. I think the Caps need to throw everything they got at him, he would be the perfect addition for this club right now. He still has a couple seasons in his legs left, Has quit INT duty and would appeal to the large asian market of Vancouver, a lot more than Long Tan does. He would quickly transform this club to a threatening bunch, Have him playing that AM role that DC has been in the past few games, and slide DC out right or left. With either Teibert or Salinas depending on the wing DC inhabits. Stick with the 2 D-mids right now as they are helping out in the back and winning a lot of balls. ThiKu
Park would require DP money. But you are right - the Asian population would be very pleased with that signing and allow us to dump Tan. Not that Tan costs a lot, but does take a roster spot that maybe Alemann could fill! I dream, I dream. No way Park is coming to MLS....he'll most likely go play Japan if he leaves OT at all. Who says he is leaving OT? He was critical to the team last year, always scores against Arsenal, and played in the CL final.

TheKottonmouthed1555362307
I sense a DP INT signing coming our way soon. Sulley Mauntari? doubt it, but how about Eiður Guðjohnsen, he's a free agent and a quality attacking midfielder, who has some connectinos to Barber I would believe through Hotspurs. I think he is an ideal payer to fit what the Caps are looking for, and that's a guy who wants the ball on his feet and wants to run with it and at opponents, and has the quality to do so. He also would bring back a little Icelandic feel to the club, with the Southsiders still flying the Iceland flags for TT, seems like a perfect fit. He would be a great fit as either an attacking midfielder or a deep lying striker. Both his boys are in the Barca academy so he might not want to move across the Atlantic. Richard
Journeyman signing that adds a little defensive depth, not going to solve the club's problems on its own.
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
No he won't solve too much, but he will give us some depth at fullback, he can play LB and RB from what I've read, and is much more competent than Leathers, Wagner and Duckett. So Rochat can play CB without everyone pulling there hair out when the opposition runs at us wide. Here's a pretty goal against TFC he got in 2010
