Who's Edson Edwards?

From Graceland University

http://www.graceland.edu/athletics/athletics_news/18641/

He got on FCD through a trial, and that's all I really know and that he is a defender. I also wonder if he was on TFC, Impact or Caps radars or the CSA for that matter as I've never heard of the kid, but anyone with some concrete info on Edson would be much appreciated.

Thanks Nolando! I think it's nice to see more Canadians are playing in the MLS at the moment.

Will Johnson goes 90 min in a failing effort as RSL fall to Columbas 0-1

All Canadians on Houston are on the field as Onstand and Hainault start and Serioux is subbed in the 50th minute however they are down 0-1 to Chicago in the 57th

and Bunbury remains on the bench as KC is hosting LA currently drawn 0-0 in the 57th minute

Serioux came in in the 30th minute and Hainault started and came out in the 70th minute and Houston eventually lost 2-0.

Bunbury never saw minutes in the 0-0 draw with Galaxy.

Jazic has a knee strain and didn't dress for Chivas.

Sutton rode pine for NY.

After starting the season as an unused sub in the first couple of matches Serioux should be getting some more starts from now on:

May 5

Bunbury was a 51st min substitute, assisting on KC's only goal in a 2-1 loss to the still-Jakovic-less DC

May 8

Edson Edward was an unused sub in Dallas' 1-0 win over DC.

Sutton watched from the bench as his Red Bulls lost 4-0 to Yallop's Earthquakes. FWIW, Joey Gjertsen got the second goal. I wonder if Sutts might get a game in soon given the unsightly resul?.

Will Johnson played the full match as RSL beat up on Philadelphia to the tune of 3-0

Serioux nodded in the second beautifully as Houston is beating 2-0 as it's Hainault on the bench, Serioux at CB and Onstad collecting a pension while simultaneously tending goal.

4 Canadians on the field as Salt Lake beat Houston 3-1 on Thursday night at Rio Tinto.

Will Johnson played 90 for RSL at left midfield.

Adrian Serioux played 90 for Houston at CB. He had a very poor performance and was responsible for 2 goals.

Pat Onstad played the whole game in goal for Houston.

Andrew Hainault did not start but came on in the 68th minute.

Jakovic looked pretty solid last night as DC United surprised MLS with a solid 3-0 lead over Seattle at QWest. Kind of a shambles in the last couple of minutes with Seattle grabbing 2 but Jakovic looked real good at centre back.

As everyone else seems to be caught up in the World Cup (rightfully so of course). I thought I'd take a stab at a little round up.

June 25th

San Jose Earthquakes (None) at Real Salt Lake (1 Canadian)

Score 0-0

- Will Johnson started and played all but the last minute of the game on the left side of midfield.

June 26th

DC United (1 Canadian) at Columbus Crew (None)

Score 0-2

- Dejan Jakovic played the whole game at Centre back. From the highlights he didn't seem directly responsible for either of the goals. (Out of interest, the first goal by Schelotto was easily as bad, if not worse than the famous Thierry Henry handball against Ireland. Absolutely brutal that it was allowed to stand.)

LA Galaxy (None) at Toronto FC 0 (6 Canadians)

Score 0-0

- O'Brian White started up front and played first 45'

- Dwayne DeRosario played the full 90' in his usual roving striker role

- Julian de Guzman came into central midfield at 59'

- Gabe Gala was a 71st minute sub on the right side of midfield

- Adrian Cann and Nana Attakora were the centre back pairing for the whole match.

Colorado Rapids (None) at Houston Dynamo (3 Canadians)

Score 2-2

- Pat Onstad played the whole game in goal.

- Andrew Hainault also played the 90 minutes at right back.

- Adrian Serioux was not even in the squad.

New York Red Bulls (1 Canadian) vs. Kansas City Wizards (1 Canadian)

Score 3-0

- Greg Sutton was the backup goalkeeper for NY and did not see any action.

- Teal Bunbury was put into the game in the 71st min substitute as an extra attacker but did not feature in the highlights package, so I presume didn't have much of an impact. The KC goalkeeper Nielson committed a couple of very bad mistakes after Bunbury came on to put the game out of reach. He let in a shot from Angel that was almost as bad as Green's howler against the USA. Then he got caught out of his goal and Angel walked the ball around him.

FC Dallas (None) at Chivas USA (1 Canadian)

Score 2-1

- Ante Jazic played the whole game at right back but had an absolute nightmare. Scored an own goal and then gave away a stone cold penalty for Dallas to win the game.

About the only positive thing was the CB combo and LaBrocca. Otherwise, that was a mind numbing game. Sanyang couldn't complete a forward pass to save his life, yet it was the anonymous Saric who was pulled off for DeGuzman. The Lativian guy did nothing to win the job from the suspended Garcia. White was again substandard and De Ro uncharacterisitically poor. The less said and remembered about this fixture, the better.
